As we encounter a man who comes to Jesus we find that no amount of goodness can make us right with God and there is nothing we can do to enter the Kingdom of God.

As we continue our journey in Mark's Gospel, Jesus receives little children who are brought to Him while rebuking the disciples and explaining what it means to enter the Kingdom of God.

On this Mother's Day, we consider the story of the first mother, the mother of all the living.

As Jesus enters Judea, He is confronted by Pharisees who question him on the legality of divorce. Jesus then defines marriage, an institution that is God designed, decreed, and ordained.

As we follow Jesus we will encounter suffering, and that suffering will not be in vain. As we strive to be at peace with one another we will see others come to the Kingdom of God.

As we move towards completing Mark chapter 9 we encounter hard teachings from Jesus on dealing with sin, the reality of Hell and suffering.

As we pick up in Chapter 9 of Mark's gospel we see the seriousness of opposing those who are for us and causing little ones to sin. *Note, the date is actually the 148th anniversary of the death of Lincoln.

On this Resurrection Sunday we see the necessary elements of the good news of Jesus Christ's death and Resurrection.

On Good Friday afternoon we reflect on the meaning of the Cross.

As we continue in the Shadow of the Cross we pick up in Mark 11 as we see Jesus on Palm Sunday riding on a donkey in to Jerusalem as the messiah, king, and Sovereign Lord over everything.

As Jesus predicts his death a third and final time in Mark's gospel, we learn more about what it means to follow Him by the way of the Cross.

As we follow Jesus and the disciples from the Mount of Transfiguration to Galillee we see Jesus reiterate the purpose of their journey and the meaning of the gospel.

As we continue in Mark's gospel on the heels of the Mount of Transfiguration, we see Jesus face the opposition of the demonic and even fom his own hard headed disciples as we learn there is always help for the helpless.

As we conclude Romans 12 we see the way Christians are to relate to the world around them as the collective body of Christ.

As we continue in Romans 12 we beging working through a list of descriptive instructions for the body of Christ individually, corporately, and towards others.

Guest speaker Nick McCurdy addresses us with the need for being an instrument of peace. Nick currently serves as a Chaplain's Assistant in the US Air Force in England and has a call to ministry.

As we continue in Romans 12 we find the spiritual gifts to the body of Christ that indicate, "here is a local, healthy church body."

The one uniting issue between the sanctity of life and racial reconciliation is that man has been created in the Image of God. Through this Psalm, we learn that as we value God, we must value those who have been created in His Image.

As we begin a few week study of the 12th chapter of Romans we first see that we, though many, must be one single sacrifice as we are one body in Christ.

As we examine 2 Corinthians 5:17 and the surrounding context we find what it means to be the "new creation" "in Christ" as we get a fresh start to the year 2013.
