Happy Almost Turkey (Thanksgiving) Day Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of the soon to be all new 2021 Podcast, The World According To Cory: An Unofficial Boy Meets World Podcast, coming January 2021. Today, I decided in honor of Turkey Day (Thanksgiving) I would cover Boy Meets World S4E10: Turkey Day, which aired on November 22, 1996. In this episode after learning about prejudice among the tribes of Africa, Cory & Shawn want to have their families celebrate Thanksgiving together. I really enjoyed this episode as Cory and Shawn try to bring their families together for Thanksgiving and the boys set such a great example for their parents of how despite class differences you can still sit down and break bread together. I also loved how adorable Morgan and Herman were together. That little guy is such a great mini version of his older brother Frankie. Such a little charmer and poet of words. We only had Topanga for the very beginning and end of the episode. I wonder what kind of Thanksgiving Topanga

Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast. Today I covered, S5E12: Edwards Creates A Monster, which aired on January 26, 1987. In this episode after going out to a comedy club as a reward for his success in school, Rick is invited to join a comedy class. But his homework is no joke, since he's cutting up in class as well as at home, and thinking of foregoing college. Rick's attempts at training to become a stand up comedian are just plain laughably BAD! and S5E13: Rumors Are Flying, which aired on February 2, 1987. In this episode Rick has a girl from school over to study, but they fall asleep in his room. After she gets grounded, Rick allows rumors to spread about what happened in their late study session. To be 100% honest these two episodes were just ok for me and didn't feel like anything great. I was looking forward to Rumors Are Flying because I was hoping Edward would tell Rick about how important it is to respect women

In this episode a triangle ensues when Rick falls for his friend Brad's girlfriend, then must take her to a concert when Brad gets grounded. I thought this episode was ok as far as Rick swooping in and sneaking around with Brad's girlfriend behind his back and I hated that when Rick confessed to Brad that he was trying to justify his actions and making excuses, luckily for Brad the jokes on Rick. I enjoyed Edward going back to college taking an Classic English Literature class and leaving no time for intimacy with Kate because he has to read like 10 classic novels in the span of a week. and S5E11: Kate Lassos A Longhorn, which aired on November 24, 1986. In this episode Rick agrees to take care of a friend's boa constrictor for the night, but it happens to fall on the same evening as Kate's dinner with a toy dealer

Today I covered the next episode in the Full House Back To School Part 2 Series, Full House S5E17: Spellbound, which aired on January 28, 1992. In this episode Stephanie participates in a spelling bee and Michelle learns to read with Jesse's help. I enjoyed this episode, I really liked how Danny called Stephanie out for being a sore loser and explaining how she could have handled it better and congratulated Davey. Now Davey, I don't want to say he had an ego even though we know he relished being referred to as the "human dictionary" but he did bring Stephanie her ribbon for who knows how she placed in the competition because she left or was escorted out by Jesse and Joey before we could find out. I think this would have been an interesting opportunity to bring back Stephanie's friend from Season 2-3 Harry, they could have been in different classes and faced off on stage as

Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast. Today, I covered S5E8: Hey, Mrs. Robinson, which aired on November 3, 1986. In this episode Kate feels left out when her old college friend, now an editor for a rock magazine, seems to have more in common with Rick - which only gets worse when she and Edward start to worry that she's interested in more than Rick's friendship. I really enjoyed this episode and I liked Kate's friend Jackie. I actually learned that I had heard of Mike and The Mechanics before they sang the song "The Living Years". I love that song. and S5E9: Rick's Learning Problem, which aired on November 10, 1986. In this episode Rick tutors a star football player, who must pass a history test in order to play for the championship. Edward gets the flu, and is getting on Rick and Kate's nerves. This was a good episode that showed Rick as someone who is willing to help someone who needs it. Edward got on my nerves while h

Happy Full House Friday Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I'm covering the first episode in a new Full House Series, Back To School Part 2, with Full House S2E17: El Problema Grande de DJ, which aired on March 10, 1989. In this episode DJ gets a "D" in Spanish. Danny goes to try and find out what was going on and talks to the teacher. The teacher explains that DJ just wasn't trying. She comes over to the house later and labels things in Spanish. then she and Danny kiss. Dj and her friends come home and see them kissing and everyone laughs at her. Then Danny has to decide whether to continue to see the teacher or to respect DJ and her feelings. I thought this was a good and fun episode with many things going on, DJ's D in Spanish leading to Danny confronting and falling for DJ's teacher Senorita Linda Mosley. I was really angry with DJ this episode her feeling she should get an A even though she she gave up on the wo

In this episode Rick moves into the guest house for some privacy, but that's easier said than done when friends and strangers consider it home away from home. This episode was good, I mean teenage me enjoyed seeing Rick in just a towel and this episode had a surprising amount of guest stars who would later go on to be in popular sitcoms, Rob Stone (Kevin Owens, Mr. Belvedere), Elizabeth Berkley (Jessie Spano, Saved By The Bell)and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing, Friends). and S5E7: Man to Man, which aired on October 27, 1986. In this episode Edward doesn't feel like celebrating his birthday after Rick beats him at tennis for the first time. Kate struggles to learn Japanese for an overseas conference. Today, I conclude the Grandparents Day series with the final episode Full House S7E17: The Last Dance, which aired on February 8, 1994. In this episode during his visit to San Francisco, Jesse's beloved grandfather, Papouli, dies in his sleep. Jesse and Michelle are both devastated as they try to come to terms with his death. I'd put off recording this episode for as long as I could, I wanted to wait until I was emotionally ready and could handle watching it again. I remember watching this episode when it first aired and realizing the promo that aired days before this episode was correct, this was an episode you shouldn't miss. For the first time we were seeing the Tanners/Katsopolis and Joey openly grieve someone who had passed away. Granted the two most affected by Papouli's passing where Jesse and Michelle. In this episode when the shoe-store owner's nephew gets a promotion ahead of him, Rick sets out to sabotage him. Honestly, the guy deserved it, he was a jerk. Rick was already an amazing salesman and to get demoted because his boss hired his nephew is total bull. and S5E5: The Beach House, which aired on October 13, 1986. In this episode Rick's promise to stay true to his girlfriend while on vacation is tested when he sees the beach bunny next door. I spend a LOT of time in this episode talking about how good Edward looks bare chested, hey, I'm only human. Rick finds it hard to commit to his girlfriend when a beach bunny ends up in the beach house next door. Poor Kate can't let herself relax on vacation because of a work deal she's trying to close, then ends up making a career blunder when she relaxes too mu

I enjoyed this episode but the reveal towards the end came out of left field for me and really made no sense, I mean I was expecting it, because of the synopsis but the housekeeper and Edward had next to no scenes together other than her interview. So basically, I'm guessing, all their interaction happened off screen then. Her infatuation was really bizarre with him, I mean, I get it, I find him attractive too and have said so on many numerous podcast episode occasions, but she literally jumped his bones right there in the livingroom and practically shoved her tongue down his throat. Newly divorced as well as retired from the stationary supply business and now residing in Seattle, Washington, NOT Tacoma, Washington like in Season 1. I really enjoyed this episode and felt that Kate was majorly overstepping in how she was treating her Grandmother, like she was feeble and couldn't do the simplest things and live on her own. I was happy that her Grandmother stood her ground and told Kate, no this is how things are going to be and I'll know when I'm unable to live on my own anymore and when that times comes I'll make that decision. Hey Tanner Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today, I begin the first episode in a new series entitled Grandparents Day Series, Full House S1E4: The Return Of Grandma, which aired on October 9, 1987. In this episode an untimely visit from Danny's mom Claire, leaves them unprepared and the house looking uninhabitable. Shocked at Danny and the guy's unkempt ways she calls in reinforcements in the form of Irene Cochran (Jesse's Mom) and Mindy Gladstone (Joey's Mom) to help encourage the guys to clean up their act for the girl's sake or the mom's are moving in and it will really be a Full House. I enjoyed this episode. I was a lot of fun and who can forget Bubba the turtle. I can only hope that eventually Jesse released Bubba to his natural habitat or donated him to a zoo (ya know, like they did for Shorty the donkey in Season 8). I covered S5E1: Who's The Boss, which aired on September 15, 1986. In this episode after Edward gives Kate a lackluster employee review, he decides to make her head of Eddie Toy's, apparently she does her job too well because he begins to resent Kate's success as toy-company head. Poor Rick is put in the middle of his feuding 'rents when he has to follow one of them around the workplace for a class assignment. I liked this episode and definitely felt Edward was in the wrong for thinking Kate couldn't handle this new position, he was constantly barging in on her meetings and phone calls to ask questions about his latest toy invention, almost like he didn't trust her to run things on her own. Today, in honor of Dave Coulier's Birthday, I've decided to cover Full House S6E20: Grand Gift Auto, which aired on March 16, 1993. In this episode Joey gets D.J. a car for her birthday, but the police show up with the news it's stolen and suspect Joey of being the thief. When the Tanners attempt to prove his innocence, Joey gets the impression that he's not appreciated in the family. I really enjoyed this episode, for years Joey has been seen as the funny guy by his family, but he feels the joke's on him when he buys DJ a used car for her 16th birthday and it is reported stolen by the owner. The family rallies around Joey in his defence by using all his goofy possessions like a Scooby Doo Nightshirt (I Want That Shirt), and TMNT Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Slippers (I Had Those Same Ones When I was 11, Leonardo) to save him from being arrested. Today, I'm covering the fourth and final entry in the Full House: Animal Antics Series with Full House: S8E6: You Pet It, You Bought It, which aired on November 1, 1994. in this episode Michelle buys a donkey from the traveling petting zoo that she names Shorty, we also have Jesse's rendition of the theme song to TV's Three's Company minus a few lyrics, as well as Stephanie and her map of the United States Project for school, Danny finding a photo of an old relative from the Civil War Era, and having the picture restored to all it's enlarged sepia toned glory, both are victim's to Shorty's paper and plaster diet and of course DJ' is Shorty's most affected victim due to having a full blown allergic reaction and on the day of her senior picture.
