Today, in honor of Bob Saget's (Danny Tanner) Heavenly Birthday, I am covering Full House S4E15: Ol' Brown Eyes, which aired January 11, 1991. In this episode Danny feels uncool when DJ turns to Joey and Jesse instead of him. I enjoyed this episode, it being one I don't really watch in my regular rotation. Danny thinking he was going to surprise DJ at this fundraiser she put together for her school by singing the song "My Generation" was ridiculous. Even Jesse, Joey and Becky try to talk him out of it and thankfully DJ catches him ahead of time when she walks into the livingroom and sees him singing this song dressed in a metal holed black leather jacket and leather pants with a grinning skull t-shirt. I would be embarrassed and uncomfortable too if I were her. Thankfully he comes to his senses. Why does it matter if DJ thinks he's cool or not. It seems like Danny is always trying

Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. Today, I covered in honor of Podcast Listener Nicole's birthday, Ever After: A Cinderella Story(1998), starring Drew Barrymore and Anjelica Houston. Movie Synopsis: The Brothers Grimm arrive at the home of a wealthy Grande Dame who speaks of the many legends surrounding the fable of the cinder girl before telling the "true" story of her ancestor. For having not ever seen this movie before I really enjoyed it. It was sweet and adorable and heartwarming. Drew Barrymore does an amazing job in this. I really disliked Anjelica Houston's character the Stepmother, but then again how could you not since she has no redeeming qualities. The brunette stepsister Jacqueline was a sweetheart. I really hated how her mother and sister constantly fat shamed her throughout the movie. I hope you all enjoy listening to this movie review. Today, I'm covering in honor of Mother's Day, Fuller House S5E6: The Mayor's Bird, which aired on December 19, 2019. In this episode the Mayor of San Francisco needs a house call to cure her bird, Ethan is invited to participate in Gibbler Game Night, Steph contemplates her future as mother of Dani. I thought this was a cute and funny episode. I really let my dislike for Gia be known even though she's not in this episode. Stephanie and baby Dani were so great, and Steph's voice is amazing. Steve handing out the advice to Steph when she is confused as to what direction to take her career now that she is a mom. Gibbler Game Night, woo boy, that was a wild and hilarious time. Ethan is a keeper, he's so sweet and understanding with Ramona and really cares about her. DJ and Matt with the After Hours Pet House Calls was funny too. Today, I covered the final episode in the SERIOUS Episodes for the month of April, Full House S8E10: Under The Influence, which aired on December 6, 1994. In this episode D.J.'s friendship with Kimmy is put to a severe test after D.J. forcibly removes a very drunk Kimmy from a college fraternity party. I remember when I originally saw the preview for this episode, my feelings of apprehension for DJ and Kimmy's friendship, I mean they had mini friendship breaks in Season 2 and 4 but never like this. This episode also answered an age old question us viewers had been wondering since Season 2's Goodbye Mr. Bear, how did Pam Tanner pass away? We knew it was a car accident but to what extent? Movie Synopsis: Margaret teaches a gorilla sign language etc. When the gorilla owner takes it back to make money from shows, Margaret's rebellious teenage son Rick steals it. They're off on a road trip to the Canadian border. I haven't watched this movie since I was a teenager. I got this movie for my 14th birthday . Today, I covered the next episode in the SERIOUS Episodes Series with Full House S8E9: Stephanie's Wild Ride, which aired on November 29, 1994. In this episode Stephanie and Gia meet a couple of older guys at the mall, who invite the girls to go for a spin. When the guys turn out to be totally reckless drivers, Stephanie is torn between her better judgment, and her desire to let loose and have fun. Meanwhile, the adults all become addicted to Michelle's video game. I really enjoyed this episode. Be being the same age as Jodie Sweetin growing up I identified with her and when I saw the episode description in the TV guide "Stephanie flirts with danger" I knew I couldn't miss this episode, not that I ever did miss it when it aired. My major dislike of Gia is rampant in the episode, plus Jason and Barry are the Bevis and Butthead human equivalent, DJ even refers to them as

Today, I covered the next episode in the SERIOUS Episodes Series for April Full House S6E17: Silence Is Not Golden, which aired on February 16, 1993. In this episode when Stephanie is paired with a classmate she hates for a school project, she finds out that his father is beating him, and is sworn to secrecy. This episode broke my heart as a child viewer watching this episode for the first time and also as an adult reviewing the episode for the podcast. My heart went out to Charles. Kudos to both this kid actor J.D> Daniels who also played Peter in the first Might Ducks movie (1992). He did a phenomenal job as a child of abuse. Also Kudos to Jodie Sweetin and John Stamos as they really carried this episode towards the end, especially the scene where Jesse tells Stephanie what happened to Charles after Jesse reported his father to the authorities. Today, I covered Full House S4E8: Shape Up, which aired on November 9, 1990. In this episode In light of Kimmy's upcoming pool party, DJ begins a crash diet and overexerts herself exercising. When Stephanie notices the problem, DJ swears her to secrecy, but the secret is out when DJ collapses during a family outing to the gym. I thought given the subject matter of the episode it was done well. Candace (D.J.) did a believable job as someone in the beginning stages of an eating disorder granted I really have nothing to compare it too. Even though I didn't mention it in the episode, actress Tracey Gold (who played Carol Seaver on Growing Pains) had developed an eating disorder while filming the last couple of Seasons of the show very noticeably in Season 7. It was very heartbreaking, she actually took a break during Season 7 to get some professional help. So many "fat jo

Today, in honor of Candace Cameron Bure's (DJ Tanner-Fuller) birthday, I'm covering Fuller House S5E7: DJ's Amazing 40th Birthday Race, which aired on December 6, 2019. In this episode after Steve tells DJ that he has signed her up for a DJ's Amazing Race- Birthday Edition, Steph and Kimmy think he is about to propose to her, Jackson and Max try to teach five-year-old Tommy how to be a guy with dire consequences. I thought this was a cute and funny episode. It kinda got on my nerves after a while how Kimmy and Stephanie kept telling DJ that Steve's big surprise at the end was that he was gonna propose and DJ kept telling them "no, he's not" until finally she starts to believe Steph and Kimmy and gets her hopes up that Steve might propose. Today, I kick off my new series The SERIOUS Episodes Series, with Full House S3E21: Just Say No Way, which aired on March 30, 1990. In this episode It's a big blow for D.J. when she catches her boyfriend Kevin experimenting with booze at a dance - and an even bigger blow when Jesse wrathfully accuses her of same. This was such a powerful episode, powerfully acted and a powerful message. I really thought Jesse and Danny but especially Jesse were way out of line when it came to handling DJ and the beer situation. Neither one of them was willing to listen to DJ and hear her side of the situation and neither of them asked to smell her breath to see if she actually drank the beer, they just assumed because Jesse caught her with a can of beer in her hand and Danny was going based on Jesse's hearsay and that fact that DJ's clothes smelled like alcohol. Today, I conclude the series Danny's Career Ladder Journey Series with Full House S3E24: Our Very First Telethon, which aired on May 4, 1990. In this episode Danny hosts a telethon to raise money for the station. The Beach Boys perform. (Correction: One of the Beach Boys performs: Mike Love to be exact.) I had a fun time with this episode plenty of laughs and musical numbers. I don't know how telethons actually work as far as the host and whether they have to be up for 24 hours straight. I can't imagine they would. I just felt sorry for Danny, I mean everyone got to go home and get some sleep except for him. I mean even Becky who's the co-host got to go home and go to bed. I loved how the family pitched in and helped Danny out after he crashed asleep in that chair. Stephanie's dance to the song Love Shack which is later revived by Jimmy Gibbler in Season 5 of Fuller

Today I covered the second episode in the Danny's Career Ladder Journey, Full House S1E12: Our Very First Promo, which aired on December 18, 1987. In this episode The Tanner family is thrilled when they are chosen to appear in a local promo at Danny's TV station. I thought this was a sweet episode. Loved the ferret (monster), definitely not a fan of Ronnie Gardner the women sent by the station to shoot and direct the promo, her attitude was totally out of line, especially casting Joey aside as not part of the family and having hold the Cue-cards. Poor Joey. Even poor Michelle is in Ronnie's eyes not good enough for the part of Michelle so Ronnie brings in a little Asian girl to play adopted daughter Michelle. Today, I kick off the new series for March, Danny's Career Ladder Journey (in the memory of Bob Saget), the first episode Full House S1E7: Knock Yourself Out, which aired on October 30, 1987. In this episode while broadcasting a national fight, Danny lets some information about the fighter's home life slip out that could get him in a lot of trouble. Meanwhile, on the home front Joey and Jesse worry when Michelle develops a cough. I haven't watched this episode in ages and I forgot just how funny it is with Danny interviewing Reggie "The Sandman" Martin (the boxer) and Joey and Jesse trying to give Michelle cough medicine and also how endearing Jesse in the rocking chair with Michelle in her room with the humidifier and Joey giving Danny advice. Hey Punky Peeps, Angela Bowen here, the host of Punky Power: An Unofficial Punky Brewster Podcast. Today, I covered S1E2: Making Room For Izzy, which aired on February 25, 2021. In this episode Punky has to figure out where Izzy will sleep; Punky gets a surprise call from her absent mother. I really enjoyed this episode, from Izzy getting adjusted to living with the Brewster family to Punky adjusting to having another kid in the home. I also enjoyed how Punky taught her spoiled kids Hannah, Diego and Daniel a lesson in appreciating all that they have by having them spend part of the night in the car. Punky learns that she and Izzy have even more in common than she originally thought. I also enjoyed how Punky and Travis were doing their best to co-parent the kids, learning along as they go. In this episode both Joey and Stephanie try to turn friendly dinners into romantic first dates: Josh takes Stephanie out for pizza, and Joey invites his boss, Alison, to the house for dinner. I felt bad for Josh and Allison, both unaware of the dinner partner's intentions which then lead to major awkwardness and embarrassment for both parties, which then leads both DJ, Steve and Jesse to step in to console and counsel Stephanie, Josh and Allison. I found this episode hilarious when it came to Michelle hiding people's things. I definitely agree with Karen that Danny overreacted to her apartment. I mean she's busy teaching dance class probably along with whatever job she has and she hasn't had time to pick up the place. Not to mention she wasn't expecting anyone over, their date was a spur of the moment thing. I she she could have told him "oh BTW I haven't cleaned the place in a bit, so be prepared for a mess" She had no idea Danny would lose his head over it. It wasn't that bad, I mean, I've seen worse. Today, I'm covering in honor of Black History Month, Family Matters S2E20: Fight The Good Fight, which aired on March 1, 1991. In this episode during Black History Month, Laura and Urkel hope their fellow students will gain appreciation for other cultures and races with a new class. But all they get is a bunch of threats from a few racist classmates. Laura breaks down in tears and feels sorry for herself, but Estelle's story behind her first library card gives her new inspiration. I really enjoyed this powerful episode, it also had me in tears when I heard Estelle's (Grandmother Winslow)story. Everyone in this episode did an amazing acting job and I loved little Richie, so adorable. I hope you all enjoy this episode and have a great week. Today, I cover the first episode in the Dating Disasters Series, Full House S2E8: Triple Date, which aired on December 9, 1988. In this episode Danny is over the moon when he gets a date at the market, and the guys have a triple date with her and her two friends. It becomes awkward when it turns out Danny's date has a history with Jesse. DJ loses Danny's wedding ring down the drain. I really liked this episode and can see now as an adult how Denise seemed kind of unstable when it came to her reaction to seeing Jesse again, I mean, she pracually knocked her two friends down as she flew into Jesse's arms. She even named her puppy after him. Yikes! Who names their pet after their ex? She completely ignores Danny, the one she's supposed to be on a date with. Joey isn't any better with his date as he insults her name, Zoey asking her if she's named after one of Frank Zapp

Hey Full House Fans and Golden Retriever Lovers, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today in honor of National Golden Retriever Day, I covered Full House S8E1: Comet's Excellent Adventure, which aired on September 27, 1994. In this episode Comet, the dog, runs away. The Rippers no longer want Jesse in their band. D.J. ends a relationship with a rich boyfriend. I really loved this episode, the new Season brings a NEW Comet or as I refer to him Comet 2.0, replacing OG Comet from Seasons 4-7. We see Jesse being dumped by the Rippers thus leaving him to eventually start his new band Hot Daddy and the Monkey Puppets, where we will meet DJ's new boyfriend Viper, that is after she breaks things off with her new flame Richie Rich money bags Nelson.
