#7 LAGUNITAS SUCKS with Jeremy Marshall
18/10/2016 Duración: 57minHello beer lovers! This week's episode, we discuss Lagunitas Sucks with brewmaster extraordinaire Jeremy Marshall. Way back when, the brewers of California's beloved Lagunitas Brewing Company were attempting to concoct a barleywine and ended up mistakenly making the fan-favorite Brown Shugga. Years later, it was tasked to Marshall to weave his magic to create a substitute brew as Brown Shugga became to costly. There in lies the unique origin of Sucks, which is a delightful double IPA-ish guzzle. Check out all of Lagunitas' catalogue at http://lagunitas.com and on Twitter @lagunitasbeer. Give me a follow @drinktalkbeer. Thanks! Jordan

#6 FOUNDERS BREAKFAST STOUT with Jeremy Kosmicki
11/10/2016 Duración: 51minHello beer lovers! This week's episode, we are discussing the one and only Founders Brewing's Breakfast Stout. I am joined by the head brewer, the brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki of the much beloved Founders of Grand Rapids, Michigan. We talk stouts, bourbon barrels, KBS, CBS, gypsum caves, All Day IPA, and much much more. Honestly, if you're a beer drinking worth the barley in your belly then you are all too familiar with Breakfast Stout and the Founders brand. They rock. I loved this talk with Jeremy and if this text post seems short it's because I am traveling in the south of Spain. Really, I am! But I wanted to make sure you had the latest and greatest interview from yours truly with one of the best and brightest brewmasters. Check out all of Founders delicious brews at https://foundersbrewing.com/ and follow Founders @FoundersBrewing on Twitter. Give me a follow while you're at it @drinktalkbeer. Thanks... #5 RIVER HORSE HIPP-O-LANTERN with Chris Rakow
04/10/2016 Duración: 49minHello beer lovers! This week's episode, we are discussing River Horse's Imperial Pumpkin Ale aka Hipp-O-Lantern. I am joined by the wonderful New Jersey brewery's head brewer Chris Rakow. We had a good time talking about drinking bold beers with lots of warming alcohol in them like RH's spectacular pumpkin brew. 'Tis the season to drink pumpkin ales and Hipp-O-Lantern is always my first thought when the leaves fall from the trees. I know some stay away from the pumpkin for fear of a light beer with an artificial squeeze of flavor in it, but River Horse does not mess around with their fresh pumpkin puree mixed into this 8% plus, hearty brown. I wrote a quippy paragraph - not unlike the one above - about Hipp-O-Lantern for that short lived men's site I scribed for. Here's what I wrote... If Oktoberfest had sex with a pumpkin, this beautiful beer would be its love child. Trenton, New Jersey’s River Horse brewery has given birth to easily one of the best fall beers one could hope to imbibe with their Hipp-O-Lant

#4 FIRESTONE WALKER UNION JACK IPA with Matt Brynildson
27/09/2016 Duración: 56minHello beer lovers! This week's episode, we are discussing Firestone Walker's Union Jack IPA. I am joined by FW's brewmaster and partner Matt Brynildson. He is the man, the myth, the legend who breathed life into the nostrils of Paso Robles' dirt to give us Union Jack IPA. We had a wonderful talk about the evolution of IPAs, how beers change over time, and the endless battle of "bottles vs. cans". Matt's a super interesting and talented guy who has cemented Firestone Walker's reputation as one of the best breweries going. My wife and I had the chance to see Firestone Walker's ever-expanding setup on our recent trip to Paso Robles, California. FW is growing by leaps and bounds and pretty much own an entire neighborhood in the town. Paso Robles is rad. It's a hilly, desert with a tough, rustic vibe. The night's cool coastal winds sweep through the area providing a perfect climate to grow wine grapes and olives. Wine, olives, and badass beer. Go visit Paso Robles. Go visit Firestone Walker. Get your ass to Ca

#3 VICTORY SUMMER LOVE with Bill Covalesky
20/09/2016 Duración: 50minHello beer lovers! This week's episode, we are discussing Victory Brewing's Summer Love. I am joined by co-founder and brewmaster of Victory - Bill Covaleski - to talk about his warm-weather beater, which has a unique origin story as a joint venture between the Pennsylvania brewery and VisitPhilly.com. What to expect in the episode? Besides a fascinating convo with Bill where he talks about his time learning to brew beer in Germany, I do ramble on about how I love the beer as the summer seasonal it is, but I also have great nostalgia for Victory's beers as I went to college in Philadelphia - SJU THE HAWK WILL NEVER DIE - and was taught what craft beer could be through Victory's catalogue. I also tell a slightly embarrassing story that involves me having purple teeth and the former Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter - who was then my councilman. Nutter is the best. Remember when he rapped Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight" at his inauguration? Big fan of Mr. Nutter. Head to Victorybeer.com to check out the

#2 21st AMENDMENT HELL OR HIGH WATERMELON with Shaun O'Sullivan
13/09/2016 Duración: 53minHello beer lovers! Today, we are discussing the fantastic summer seasonal out of San Francisco known to the world as Hell or High Watermelon. I had the pleasure to talk about said wheat beer with one half of the dynamic duo who made it - Shaun O'Sullivan of 21st Amendment Brewery. As mentioned in the last text post, I wrote a few articles for a short-lived men's site. My first idea was to write about an article about all the weird people you meet at scotch tasting events. Did that. My second idea was to write an article where I said how much I loved this delicious watermelon beer. And I did just that. This is what I wrote then... There are a thousand beers marketed for “summer” drinking, but this is the refreshing twist on backyard barbecue boozing we have all been waiting for. Watermelon is the epitome of seasonal fruit as sweaty men, women, and children gorge on its juicy goodness to cool themselves from Memorial Day to Labor Day. And it’s San Francisco’s rising star - 21st Amendment Brewery - who, final

#1 Welcome to Drink Talk Beer!
07/09/2016 Duración: 10minHello beer lover, My name is Jordan Newmark. I too love beer! And this is my podcast. Each episode of Drink Talk Beer, I will be talking about a beer I love with the person who made it. Yes, the actual human being who made it. Of course, there is the question - who am I? Good question. Normally, I write about the UFC for the UFC. Yes, Ultimate Fighting Championships. Yes, cagefighting! Yes, I enjoy cagefighting quite a bit. I write and read and watch men and women fighting each other in cages on a near daily basis. But I do have other hobbies... hobbies like drinking alcohol. A year and a half ago, I started writing for a short-lived men's site about booze. I wrote a few articles - one about scotch tastings, one about pumpkin beers, one about fruit beers, and one about the excellent gin made by New York Distilling Company. I pitched the idea of me interviewing NY Distilling Company's co-founder Tom Potter, who was also a co-founder of Brooklyn Brewery. The men's site said yes and I scheduled an interview
