Crossing Streams Ep. 6: "The Expanse"'s Ned Stark Moment
27/02/2017 Duración: 01h44min"Crossing Streams" turns 6 in our latest episode! The Biz and Matty G are still split on "Legion" - Matt loves the sheer terror of the latest episode, while Jesse found the grotesquely humorous imagery as oddly reminiscent of "Donnie Darko," one of his favorite films. The co-hosts are much more on the same page about "The Expanse," whose latest episode was a terrific mix of stunningly gorgeous CGI effects and a heartfelt resolution to the Miller-Julie Mao storyline. They again really enjoyed "Supergirl," which was simply hilarious in its introduction of Mr. Mxyzptlk, played wonderfully by relative unknown Peter Gadiot. Matt wonders aloud whether "The Flash" and "Legends of Tomorrow" are willing to lose casual viewers in an effort to go all in on the zany comic book source material (The Multiverse! Time travel! Giant telepathic gorillas in armor! Camelot 3000!), then concludes by praising "Agents of SHIELD" for one of its best episodes to date, even as he's not particularly counting the days until the show com

Crossing Streams Podcast Ep 5: "The Walking Dead" returns! "Legion" unpacks mental illness
20/02/2017 Duración: 01h44minThe Bizzle and Matty G kick things off by urging you to GO SEE NOW "The LEGO Batman Movie," which is a hysterical satire of both DC and comic book movies in general and has a great heart. Matt breaks down AMC's mid-season premiere of "The Walking Dead," which continues to find ways to make mass slaughter look fun, along with the Season 2 premiere for AMC's "Humans," and what it has (and doesn't have) new to say about robots. Then it's on to "Legion" and then "The Expanse." Matt's buying into being a mutant as a stand-in for being mentally ill, while Jesse remains on the fence, but both agree "The Expanse" just keeps getting better. Finally, Matt goes off on the utter pointlessness of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." before getting giddy over the impending arrival of Mr. "pronunciation may vary" Mxyzptlk on "Supergirl." Crossing Streams Podcast Ep. 4: "Legion" on FX is effing weird; where CAN'T it go??
13/02/2017 Duración: 01h58minMatty G and The Bizzle dive in on the series premiere of FX's "Legion," a gorgeous, bizarre piece of television that seems to be at its weakest when discussing anything related to mutants or X-Men, which unfortunately is the central premise of the show. We tackle another great new episode of "The Expanse," which figured out that showing characters doing stuff unrelated to the main plot goes a long way to making those characters interesting. And then we return to "Supergirl," whose latest episode didn't make much sense, but who cares, because a show like "Supergirl" is just something both of us need right now. BizzleCast 81: "Star Wars Rebels" Nerd-Out with Blues Leader aka Adam Dietz!
09/02/2017 Duración: 01h19minThe BizzleCast is back, baby! Through the influence of Blues Leader, The Bizzle aka Red Leader was seduced by the power of the “Star Wars Rebels” force, both Light and Dark. Excellent animation, surprisingly deep characters, and lots of hot Jedi lightsaber action combine with phenomenal world-building in that Far, Far Away Galaxy we love so much. Here are some reasons why we really dig this show.

Crossing Streams Podcast Ep. 3: "The Expanse" looks to take big leap forward
07/02/2017 Duración: 01h42minThe Bizzle and Matty G are all-in on the season premiere of "The Expanse”, a show both of us watched with some skepticism but were surprised at how compelling it turned out to be, while at the same time maintaining concerns with the way some of the characters are being handled. Then we turn our attention to the CW. Biz unleashes out an emotional rant about his increasing disappointment with “Arrow,” and we look back on the meta (pun intended) message of the mid-season premiere for "Legends of Tomorrow" giving our. What will be James “Jimmy” Olsen's fate on "Supergirl?” *AND DON’T MISS “LEGION” PREMIERING TOMORROW NIGHT ON FX!* We will definitely be discussing next week. Crossing Streams Podcast Ep. 2: The CW is back with a vengeance!
30/01/2017 Duración: 01h18minWelcome to Episode 2 of the “CROSSING STREAMS“ podcast — aka "Attack of the Streams." This week we're going all in on the mid-season CW premiers, as the Bizzle joyfully joins the ranks of "Supergirl" fans and Matty G questions how much longer "The Flash" can keep up the time travel. Jesse raves about "Star Wars Rebels" and Matt continues to praise Cameron Monaghan as possibly the only fun thing to ever come out of "Gotham."

23/01/2017 Duración: 01h01minCROSSING STREAMS makes its triumphant debut! Can anyone out-Tom Hardy Tom Hardy on "Taboo?" Does it matter how a person gets superpowers on "Agents of SHIELD?" And is there something Matty G actually, gasp, likes about "Gotham?" BizzleCast 80: Disaster at the Golden Globes, rescued by Meryl Streep? Feat. Papa Bizzle
09/01/2017 Duración: 36minTo quote Sarah Silverman: “Meryl Streep changes the world by waking us up with a kiss on the forehead.” Jimmy Fallon was in form as his drunk and alcoholic self, while Hollywood gazed at its old ass navel with nostalgic fluff like La La Land. The Edge of Seventeen had to be there as a comedy, it was almost offensive. What happened to the spine of the foreign press? Just seems like a pregame to the Oscars. And of course- what exactly is Emma Stone trying to say to the world in that outfit? And Felicity Jones and Diego Luna are my new best friends. Featuring Papa Bizzle himself!

An Ode to my Mama and Rogue One: an experience and spoilery musings
19/12/2016 Duración: 17minSeeing ROGUE ONE with my Mama was amazing. That she loved it like I did was delicious icing on the cake. Thus begins my spoilery praise of this brilliant movie, which experiencing with my mom for a second time was even better than I thought.

ROGUE ONE rapid non-spoiler review (hint: I loved it)
16/12/2016 Duración: 14minThe Trump-volk were right to fear this movie; it’s bordering on a radical political viewpoint and gets that point across through a classic Star Wars world that feels totally like our own. Forget lovable main characters and lovable non-main characters - this movie completely blurs that line and has you truly invested in all members of the massive army of good/trying-to-be-good guys, not just the three or four main character Lucas model that we have gotten used to in Star Wars. This movie feels as reverent of and loyal to the original film as The Empire Strikes Back does and yet connects with our current political and military reality to a scary degree. This is the definitive Star Wars movie outside of the original trilogy, in my view, but I always saw the Lucas-verse as darker than is usually portrayed and interpreted.

BizzleCast 75: Golden Globes nominations reax feat. Papa Bizzle
13/12/2016 Duración: 36minIt’s all in the title. We liked some of these, loved a few others, and were perplexed by a few. But we are very excited for Hailee Steinfeld, Ryan Reynolds, Tom Hiddleston, Olivia Colman, and many more. Let Papa and Junior Bizzle take you through this crazy hodgepodge of nominations in the bizarre year of film that was 2016.

BizzleCast 74: REVENGE OF THE SITH (2005) Film Commentary by The Bizzle
11/12/2016 Duración: 02h15minYou kinda need to watch this before ROGUE ONE drops this week - ok, you don’t have to - given its proximity in terms of timeline to the new “Star Wars Story” movie. But when I revisited this movie last year, ten years later after it sealed my horrid disappointment with the Prequel Trilogy, I actually found myself - dare I say it - liking this movie! It was the most fun, the least cheesy, Hayden Christensen is just bad as opposed to terribly horrible, Yoda and Obi-Wan steal the show (as they should), and it’s so damn dark and murderous for Star Wars you kind of have to appreciate the balls on Lucas. This is a real solid scifi movie and it does feel like Star Wars, which in the end is what’s truly important. I’ll leave it there, because if you like this movie I think you’ll really like my commentary, and if you don’t like it, then I have almost one hundred other great podcasts to check out! No intro or countdown here - queue it up to 00:00:00 and hit play here and your TV/computer/other viewing device at the

BizzleCast 73: The state of the STAR WARS Universe starring Blues Leader (aka Adam Dietz)
07/12/2016 Duración: 01h27minPumped for ROGUE ONE? We definitely are. Nevertheless, Blues Leader (Dietz) and Red Leader (Bizzle) focus just as much on the amazing legacy of 1990s Star Wars computer games (the Hand of the Emperor!), the difference between “official” Star Wars and “canonical” works, the role that REBELS plays in the larger mythology, the awesomeness of Kathleen Kennedy (current president of LucasFilm), Donnie Yen (“the Force is STRONG!”), and the future of the franchise.

BizzleCast 71: CW Arrowverse “INVASION” Mega-Crossover Party! (feat. Matty G)
02/12/2016 Duración: 01h48minIt's an Invasion! The CW debuted its first four-part (or maybe 3.1-part) crossover between "Supergirl," "The Flash," "Arrow" and “The Legends of Tomorrow" this week, and the Bizzle and resident DC/CW expert Matty G (aka Goose) are back to break down every glorious, action-packed second! We look at what worked (almost all of it) and what didn't (Katie Cassidy's cameo, but that's about it), discuss the history of crossover events at DC and Marvel, predict what this first-of-its-kind event means for the future of superhero television shows, and even debate whether the Arrowverse might secretly be delivering more bang for its buck than the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Prepare to be Dominated!
