Happy Thanksgiving from Caleb and Danny of Nobody Special. Naturally, we talk about being thankful and the holiday food we hate. Thanksgiving is a great American holiday that we get together with friends and family to talk about the things we are thankful for. And oh boy, do we need that this year. It’s been a rough one. But first, we talk about the Thanksgiving Food that just seems weird, gross, or just doesn’t strike us the right way. Danny and Caleb talk about the constant rebooting of stories across all media and going on to talk about persevering in our faith. Shark Boy and Lava Girl are getting a reboot that leaves Caleb and Danny asking “Did anyone ask for this? Then we talk about who the enemy in our spiritual battle is and how we should not turn on one another. Caleb and Danny celebrate the spooky season by talking about our favorite Halloween movies. Then we talk about the idea of wearing spiritual masks and approaching God in honesty and sincerity. Everyone to some extent struggles with wearing masks while we try and approach God. Yet, it is God who tells us to approach Him in confidence and understanding that when we come to Him, we can come as we are while not staying there. God wants us to come to Him and He will care for us and reveal Himself to us for His glory. Trusting in God can be difficult, but it often times puts us in the place that we need to be. Caleb and Danny talk about what it means to trust in God and in his presence. Also we talk about ropes courses and what is up with those. Trusting in the Lord comes from being humble, understanding that the things we can do are a grace of God to do them and the things we cannot do are a chance to glorify God by trusting in Him. It is through God that we can do anything and everything we can do comes from trusting Him. Community. It’s not just an older show on NBC but a vital part of the Christian’s life and spiritual walk. Join Caleb and Danny as they talk about what God is teaching them in community. DC Comics released a whole bunch of trailers and FINALLY SOMETHING IN POP CULTURE WORTH TALKING ABOUT! We discuss everything DC is doing and how the Christian should respond to enemies and vengeance. Many things happened within the world of DC Comics as they unleashed a barrage of trailers for video games, shows, and movies this past week. With everything coming out, between Batman, Black Adam, Gotham Knights, and Suicide Squad, we look at the growing trend of the anti-hero and doing good things with a bad heart. Then we talk about the growing issue of vengeance and taking the role of seeking our own form of justice rather than submitting to God’s justice. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Caleb is back and definitely not recasted. So the boys take the time to talk about what anyone would talk about… over sexualizing children through toys and Netflix movies. Children’s toys of Trolls and LOL dolls, along with the Netflix Movie Cuties, have made the new recently for either flaws in their design or their blatant sexualization of children. Are we being persecuted? Possibly. John MacArthur in California recently had to tell Governor Newsom and the state of California that they would continue to sing and meet together. Everyone has opinions and we look at how the Christian should respond to government over-reach.John MacArthur recently penned an open letter to the State of California regarding their recent statement that churches cannot sing and cannot meet in person. After prayer from the church pastors and elders, Grace Community Church decided this was an act too far to ban the church from worshipping God. Christians over the past few years have found various reasons to claim persecution. Now, we find ourselves facing actual persecution, at least in the case of California, and must decide how we should continue to worship our God and be faithful to Him. Danny and Caleb share their COVID-19 test results and how they made it through being sick. Then we talk about how being healthy and worshipping God are connected. Its the low stress episode everyone. Also, we talk about Eurovision Song Contest. Caleb and Danny tested positive for COVID and Danny probably gave it to Caleb, unless any kind of liability is involve, then he definitely didn’t. Our tests may have been different but the experience was the same. Weird.
