  • S20 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “Indeed a great calamity is going to happen”

    10/08/2025 Duración: 26min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S20) The Messenger ﷺ: “Indeed a great calamity is going to happen” The companions رضي الله عنهم asked how do we stay safe from this? The Messenger ﷺ replied: “Hold firm to the origin of your affairs”. (I.e turn to the pious predecessors and hold firm to the Qur’an and Sunnah). The Messenger ﷺ: “In front of you lays fitnah. Money will be abundant. The Quran will be opened. The believer, disbeliever, hypocrite, man, woman, slave, freed, young and old will all recite it. A man will recite it and say: ‘I know the Quran, why does no one follow me?’. The man will be in his home, make a room into a masjid and will innovate things not found in the Quran or Sunnah! Be wary of this misguidance”.

  • S19 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “Seek to read the Qur’an from 4

    10/08/2025 Duración: 28min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S19) The Messenger ﷺ: “Seek to read the Qur’an from 4; Abdullah Ibn Masood, Saalim Mawla Abu Hudayfah, Ubayy Ibn Ka’ab and Muazh Ibn Jabal [رضي الله عنهم]”. The 4 Collectors of the Qur’an in the lifetime of The Messenger ﷺ; Ubayy Ibn Ka’ab, Muazh Ibn Jabal, Zayd Ibn Thaabit and Abu Zayd رضي الله عنهم. Collectors of the Qur’an here means hearing, obeying and doing what is commanded therein. Memorised, mastered and implemented! Muazh رضي الله عنه did so in his 20s - a feat not many can claim.

  • S18 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Sunnah of making up missed rakats was introduced by Muazh رضي الله عن

    06/08/2025 Duración: 32min

Muazh Ibn Jabal (رضي الله عنه) (S18) The Sunnah of making up missed rakats was introduced by Muazh رضي الله عنه, and The Messenger ﷺ ordered us to follow suit. Now, billions follow - imagine the honour for Muazh! رضي الله عنه The Messenger ﷺ: “The most compassionate of my Ummah, to my Ummah is Abu Bakr رضي الله عنه. The strictest in religious rulings is Umar رضي الله عنه. The truest in Haya is Uthmaan رضي الله عنه. The best reciter of the Qur’an is Ubay Ibn Ka’ab رضي الله عنه. The most learned in inheritance laws is Zayd Ibn Thaabit رضي الله عنه. The most learned in matters of Halal and Haram is Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه. Every Ummah has a trustworthy one, this Ummah has Abu Ubaydah رضي الله عنه”. Umar, Ali and Muazh رضي الله عنهم all share the same opinion with regards to a Hadith - such is an honour to be amongst these two great souls.

  • S17 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه, though young, gained knowledge to an extent one can only dream of.

    06/08/2025 Duración: 26min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S17) Muazh رضي الله عنه, though young, gained knowledge to an extent one can only dream of. Two people will never be satiated; The seeker of knowledge & the one who chases the Duniya. Luqmaan (a.s) advised his son (رضي الله عنه): “Make it fardh upon yourself to sit with the people of knowledge”. The first revelation to be revealed after a ~600 year gap was “Iqra” - One must seek knowledge, from the cradle to the grave…

  • S16 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه asked The Messenger ﷺ “Where does mischief lie?”,

    06/08/2025 Duración: 24min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S16) Muazh رضي الله عنه asked The Messenger ﷺ “Where does mischief lie?”, The Messenger ﷺ replied: “Don’t ask of mischief, ask about good - to answer your question, the greatest mischief is from wicked scholars”. Umar رضي الله عنه: “The ones who will destroy this Ummah are hypocrites with educated tongues”. Muazh رضي الله عنه: “Acquire knowledge, it is an excellent thing. Seeking it is worship. Reviewing it is glorifying Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى. Researching it is Jihad. Teaching it to the ignorant is charity”. The ants in their holes and whales in the sea pray for those who teach good.

  • S15 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The head of faith is Islam. The support is Salah. The Peak is jihad. The controller of all these is the tongue!

    03/08/2025 Duración: 26min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S15) The head of faith is Islam. The support is Salah. The Peak is jihad. The controller of all these is the tongue! Muazh رضي الله عنه had such intimate moments with The Messenger ﷺ that he related a Hadith even Abdullah Ibn Amr رضي الله عنهم hadn’t heard - the latter being one of the most prolific narrators! Muazh رضي الله عنه relates a Hadith regarding signs of the hour… “The restoration of Bayt al-Maqdis. The Destruction of Yathrib, The Destruction of Yathrib…”.

  • S14 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Companions رضي الله عنهم didn’t want The Messenger ﷺ to pass away before them

    03/08/2025 Duración: 28min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S14) The Messenger ﷺ: “O Muazh [رضي الله عنه]. A content heart, a tongue moist with Zhikr and a righteous wife - these are far greater than wealth for which people aspire”. The Companions رضي الله عنهم didn’t want The Messenger ﷺ to pass away before them. They’d pray to pass away before him. Muazh رضي الله عنه asked, should you (ﷺ) pass away before us, what deeds should we do afterwards? Muazh رضي الله عنه mentioned Jihad, Sadaqah, Fasting, and then mentioned every single good deed. Our Messenger ﷺ gave the same reply: All these deeds are done in abundance [i.e in the times of the companions رضي الله عنهم. One cannot even fathom the level of piety that was present!] There was one deed which The Messenger ﷺ instructed to do: “Remain silent. Speak only when necessary and speak good”. Muazh رضي الله عنه visibly became ill when he was searching for deeds to enter Jannah and to protect him from Hell. Such was his Taqwa - The Messenger ﷺ told him of Nafl fasts, Sadaqah and Tahajj

  • S13 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ gave Muazh رضي الله عنه golden, comprehensive advice

    03/08/2025 Duración: 29min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S13) The Messenger ﷺ gave Muazh رضي الله عنه golden, comprehensive advice: Do not associate anyone with Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى, even if you’re killed or burnt alive. Don’t disobey your parents, even if they ask you to leave your family and goods. Don’t miss an obligatory prayer deliberately. Don’t consume intoxicants. Keep away from sins, for they invite Allah’s سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى wrath. Don’t turn away from Jihad. If a plague arrives, stay firm in the area and don’t flee. Spend on your descendants, take care of your dependents. Such was the sincere advise that the greatest of creation ﷺ gave to a young Muazh رضي الله عنه - one must reflect that wisdom is not with age, rather it is granted by Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى

  • S12 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ: “I am for the worst of my Ummah”.

    03/08/2025 Duración: 30min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S12) Once, The Messenger ﷺ was missing from the campsite, which worried the companions رضي الله عنهم. Muazh Ibn Jabal, Abu Musa al-Ashari and Awf Ibn Malik رضي الله عنهم searched for him (ﷺ). They heard a grindstone like noise at the top of the valley - our Messenger ﷺ received revelation: an Angel (a.s) said either half of your Ummah enters Jannah, or you can intercede for the Ummah. The Messenger ﷺ chose the intercession. The Messenger ﷺ: “I am for the worst of my Ummah”. Surah [93:5], the most hopeful verse to our Messenger ﷺ. He (ﷺ) saved it for us, his Ummah, on that Awesome Day. Our Messenger ﷺ was so pleased with this gift, that he prostrated for so long, Muazh رضي الله عنه though he (ﷺ) passed away! Such was the gratitude of The Messenger (ﷺ).

  • S11 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه encounters an orphan and makes a heartfelt dua.

    01/08/2025 Duración: 31min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S11) Once, the Messenger ﷺ was on his mule, and asked Muazh رضي الله عنه to get on. Muazh initially said no (I.e not to cause any troubles) - The Messenger ﷺ said again to get on and so Muazh رضي الله عنه did. After a few steps, they both fell off! Muazh رضي الله عنه was embarrassed, but our Messenger ﷺ was smiling. This occurred twice more, every time our Messenger ﷺ smiled. The Messenger ﷺ is the most humble of creation. He ate with the companions رضي الله عنهم, married into them etc, however there is no one in creation like him. An exemplar with no competition, yet still showed utmost humility. Muazh رضي الله عنه encounters an orphan and makes a heartfelt dua.

  • S10 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه was fond of Masjids

    01/08/2025 Duración: 26min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S10) 30 companions رضي الله عنهم were in the Masjid of Hims (Syria), amongst them Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه - Abu Muslim (r.h) said he was a youngster, kohl eyed with lightning with teeth, and remained silent. The people would turn to him to ask questions. When he spoke, Noor came out of his mouth. Muazh رضي الله عنه was fond of Masjids, he رضي الله عنه said that prayer isn’t just standing as we know it. For each step to the masjid, you are rewarded 10 good deeds. Whilst waiting for prayer, you are written amongst the ‘resolute’, ‘Qaniteen’, which is how Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى describes Maryam رضي الله عنها in Surah Tahreem. One is rewarded for praying until he reaches his home!

  • S9 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ once held Muazh’s رضي الله عنه hand and said: “By Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى I love you!”,

    29/07/2025 Duración: 27min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S9) Muazh was paired with Jafar رضي الله عنهم, however he lived in the same dwelling as Abdullah Ibn Masood رضي الله عنه. Abdullah Ibn Masood was paired with Zubayr رضي الله عنهم. The Messenger ﷺ once held Muazh’s رضي الله عنه hand and said: “By Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى I love you!”, Muazh رضي الله عنه replied: “May my father and mother (رضي الله عنها) be ransomed for you. By Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى I love you!”. The Messenger ﷺ then instructed to recite after every obligatory Salah: ‘Allahuma a’innee ala Zhikrika…’ Whoever loves a brother for the sake of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى, then both of them enter Paradise. The one who loves his brother more, gets the higher station. Thus, what of The Messenger ﷺ and Muazh رضي الله عنه loving eachother? He (ﷺ) loves us more than we love ourselves.

  • S8 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Muazh رضي الله عنه was paired as a brother with Jafar Ibn Abu Talib! رضي الله عن

    29/07/2025 Duración: 23min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S8) Our Mother, Safiya (a.s): “I was the closest child to my father and uncle. They always showed love to me, picking me up [etc]. When The Messenger ﷺ first arrived in Quba, my father Huyay and uncle Abu Yasir went to enquire - they went before sunrise and returned at sunset. They were so tired they didn’t even lift me up as they usually did. My uncle said to my father: ‘Is it really him? [ﷺ] what is your intention?’, my father replied: ‘It is certainly him! But I will show hatred and enmity!’”. We can see the eagerness of Bani Israel to identify this was the final Messenger ﷺ. However, when they found out he was an Arab, they rejected him! Such racism has no place in Islam, unfortunately we see this being practiced today… This event would’ve had a positive impact on the blessed heart of our mother (رضي الله عنها). Muazh رضي الله عنه was paired as a brother with Jafar Ibn Abu Talib! رضي الله عنه An honour for the both of them. Jafar رضي الله عنه was in Abyssinia when this

  • S7 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Some more of the blessed martyrs of Uhud

    29/07/2025 Duración: 30min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S7) Some more of the blessed martyrs of Uhud: Hamza, Musab, Hanza, Sa’ad Ibn Rabee, Kharija Ibn Zayd, Yaman, Thaabit Ibn Waqash, Mukhayriq, Usayrim and of course the living martyr: Talha رضي الله عنهم. Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه was often seen trying to make the Jews see the light. The Jews always mentioned that the final Messenger (ﷺ) was coming and that they’d side with him to beat the Ansar, however when our Messenger ﷺ came and was from the Arabs, they rejected him. Muazh رضي الله عنه said to them, why do you now reject him? You told us of his arrival! Surah [2:59] was then revealed. Another time, Muazh رضي الله عنه, Sa’ad Ibn Muazh and kharija Ibn Zayd رضي الله عنهم asked the Jews about information in the Torah, which they concealed. Thus was revealed surah [2:159]. Such was a young and courageous Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه.

  • S6 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - The Messenger ﷺ loved the martyrs of so much, that he yearned to be buried with them.

    29/07/2025 Duración: 25min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S6) When Amr Ibn al-Jamooh and his son, Khalaad رضي الله عنهم were martyred at Uhud, Amr’s wife رضي الله عنهم came with a camel to bring the bodies back to Madinah. When the bodies were placed on the camel, it wouldn’t stand until it was struck - however it would not face Madinah, and wanted to stay at Uhud. The Messenger ﷺ said that the camel was ordered to do this! Amr’s wife رضي الله عنهم informed the Messenger ﷺ of Amr’s dua, that he didn’t want to return to his people (I.e martyrdom), which was accepted. اَللَّٰهُ أَكْبَرُ. A period of time had passed (one report says ~37 years), and when water was flowing into the gravesite of Uhud, the graves had to be exhumed. When they saw the bodies of Amr Ibn al-Jamooh and Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Haram رضي الله عنهم, they looked as if they were buried yesterday! The people moved the hand of Abdullah رضي الله عنه , and he had a wound which the hand was covering. When the hand was moved, blood began pouring out and the hand returned bac

  • S5 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Amr Ibn Jamooh رضي الله عنه had 3 sons

    29/07/2025 Duración: 33min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S5) Amr Ibn Jamooh رضي الله عنه had 3 sons; Muazh, Mu’awad and Khalaad رضي الله عنهم, who were all Badris. Khalaad was martyred alongside his father, Amr, at Uhud. Muazh Ibn Amr رضي الله عنهم was one of those who attacked Abu Jahl at Badr. He cut off his leg, and it flew like kernel. Muazh was struck and his forearm was almost fully severed. He then stretched it and ripped it off - grieving that he didn’t get to finish of Abu Jahl! Amr Ibn Jamooh رضي الله عنه was excused to fight at Badr, due to a limp. He رضي الله عنه fought at Uhud. He was martyred and buried alongside his best friend, Abdullah Ibn Amr Ibn Haram رضي الله عنه, his nephew and his freed slave رضي الله عنهم.

  • S4 - Muazh Ibn Jabal (ra) - Amr Ibn al-Jamooh’s (رضي الله عنه) journey to Islam

    29/07/2025 Duración: 29min

Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنه (S4) Amr Ibn al-Jamooh’s (رضي الله عنه) journey to Islam: He was the chief of Banu Salamah. He had the idol ‘Manaf’ in his dwelling. When Musab Ibn Umayr رضي الله عنه originally came to preach, Amr called and said: “what is this religion?”. Musab رضي الله عنه said set a time and date and we shall discuss and so they did. Musab رضي الله عنه recited Surah Yusuf, verses 1-2 which moved Amr! Amr’s entire family had embraced Islam (رضي الله عنهم) but he was the only one yet to do so. A group gathered, including Muazh Ibn Amr, who is his son, and Muazh Ibn Jabal رضي الله عنهم who would take the idol from Amr’s رضي الله عنه house and chucked it into a well. They tied a dead dog to it also. When Amr saw this, Imaan entered his heart. He declared to his people: “O my people! Do you not follow my religion? We will follow the religion of Muhammad ﷺ”. Amr رضي الله عنه would later say in poetry: “I was in a dark grave (I.e his previous religion). And Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وتَعَالَى brought u

  • S27 FINAL-Surah Ash-Shu‘ara (26) Verse 221-227

    29/07/2025 Duración: 38min

Surah 26 The Poets v221-227 Final Session 26 A word of truth that the Jinn snatches, then he gabbles it like the clucking of a chicken into the ear of his friend but he mixes it with more than 100 lies, v223. As death approached Abu Bakr (ra) stated, This is a time when a Kaafir accepts faith, a sinner develops fear for Allaah SWT and even a liar speaks the truth, view v227. Where poetry is condemned in certain narrations, it is with the purpose that one should not get engrossed so much in it that he neglects his worships and The Quran.

  • S26 -Surah Ash-Shu‘ara (26) Verse 218-220

    29/07/2025 Duración: 38min

Surah 26 The Poets v218-220 Session 25 And we see your movements amongst those who prostrate themselves (Surah 26:219). The Messenger ﷺ is the best in ancestry (Baihaqi). Poetry from Abbas (ra) after the return journey from Tabook... Before it, you ﷺ enjoyed the shade of Paradise, within the glade where first the leaves were plucked (ie for you were already within the Blessed loins of Adam [A.S] before the fall) And then you alighted upon earth, neither a human being, nor a piece of flesh nor a clot. A drop that sailed within the Ark whilst mighty floods washed Nasr away, and put pay to his worshippers (Nasr was one of the idols in the time of Nooh [A.S] Soorah Nooh [as] 71 23). From loin to womb you ﷺ travelled through the ages and all the while worlds and generations passed on, each by each. O coolness for the Friend's [Ibrahim A.S] furnace, O reason for protection from the fire despite its burning! Until your line, preserved from any fault, arrived to Khinzhif, a plateau above a wide expanse ("kh

    29/07/2025 Duración: 35min

Surah 26 The Poets v213-217 Session 24 The Messenger ﷺ warns his kindred. Alee (ra) agrees to being the successor of Bau Hashim (Surah 26:214).
