Sinopsis
The long and short of it is that the three of us started getting together every Wednesday morning to drink coffee, take a break and figure out how we were going to make an impact (and how we could work together to do so). We called it 'Solving the World's Problems Coffee Hour'. We chatted about all kinds of ideas: research, new workouts, combining things, and crazy ideas we heard on podcasts. Then it dawned on us. We should start a podcast. Yep, that is how we thought we might be able to make a dent into the worlds problems (it all starts with a dent, right?) So here we are now. Several months of planning, brainstorming and politely asking Kyle's friend Justin (the awesome AV guy) if he could help us out. So what it's all about is that Clinically Pressed is going to be a traveling podcast and we will be recording on location. We are going to interview experts around the country from all health/nutrition/performance professions as well as include round table discussions covering major topics and questions. Our goal is to provide as much information as we can that is useful to viewers/listeners, and do it all at no cost. We want to make the complicated simple and make it something you can apply to your life. We hope you enjoy!

REPLAY-Ep. 46: Eating Like an Athlete
18/01/2021 Duración: 49minEating seems simple enough but when you are trying to perform at a high level it can get confusing very quickly. In this episode, Andrew Jagim PhD breaks down what it looks like to eat like an athlete. A common pitfall to training at the highest levels (whatever they may be) is not consuming enough to fuel your body to achieve what you need. Dr. Jagim digs in deep here and helps lay a great framework for consuming enough calories to enhance both recovery and performance. From there, many options exist to help build off this foundation. REPLAY: Ep. 63: Reiki Master-Shannon Amberg
16/12/2020 Duración: 50minThis was a game changer episode as it took us outside of the normal treatment and approaches we typically had done and stretched our though of comprehension. So insightful and after talking with Shannon, have to consider something more out there that helps shape all of us. On this episode we have Shannon Amberg PhD and Reiki Master. This is the first of two episodes with Shannon as we try and scratch the surface fo what Reiki is and how energy healing works. We get into asking a lot of questions as Joel is relatively skeptical (even when trying not to be) when it comes to the body and energy and someones ability to actually read that energy. Shannon does a great job breaking down what it is all about and how it can benefit everyone in one way or another. There are some extremely interesting connections and ideas that you can come away with when you really listen to the ideas behind energy and how it runs our worlds. Wellness Insight: Minding the Middle
08/06/2020 Duración: 09minIn a world of extremes in health and fitness it can be a good reminder to mind the middle. There are so many things that can work but they don’t work for everyone, no matter what anyone says. If there was a one size fix all, we’d all be doing it and that would be the end. That hasn’t occurred yet. This is a friendly reminder of looking at due diligence that is necessary to make sure you are finding what works for you and not spending a fortune on it in the process. #complicatedsimple #progressive #openminded #PBE #EBP #noagenda #performance #training #nutrition #health #wellness #athlete #athletictraining #science #chiropractic #rehab #prevention #clinicallypressed #middle #mindingthemiddle #supplements #fitness#bellcurve --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/clinicallypressed/support

Ep. 73: Immune Boosts & COVID-19?????
23/03/2020 Duración: 31minThere is so much uncertainty in the world right now. Being home, not working, scared of being sick. There are so many things that can bring stress especially if money is tight for the foreseeable future. With that, we have seen a lot of “scams” out there claiming immune boosts to fight COVID-19. While some of the things can help with your immune system there is no quick fix and trying to get people to buy things strictly on the fact that it can combat the virus is well…..wrong. This can be supplements, workouts, specific foods and diets. We understand people need to make money for small businesses and that is all good. What we do ask is, don’t do it on the back of a worldwide pandemic. Be better. #complicatedsimple #progressive #openminded #PBE #EBP #noagenda #performance #training #nutrition #health #wellness #athlete #athletictraining #science #chiropractic #rehab #prevention #clinicallypressed #immunity #scams #knowledge #pandemic #virus #covid19 --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/clinicall
