    It is that time of year where we set intentions, resolutions and goals for the New Year. Those of us who practice this each year go into it with hope for a better life. We seek to make major change to some things in our lives, desire adding new things to our lives and/or just enhance some things that are working pretty well in our lives. When we look at the statistics for New Year’s intentions, though, we find that most intentions are abandoned as the year goes on.     We live in a fast-paced world and our thoughts are usually several steps ahead. Living in this way causes time to race by and we experience very little of the life we live. Today’s show and our tool are all about slowing down. Even if you are in a position where slowing your pace is not feasible right now, slowing your thinking brings you back to the present. You are able to live mindfully when you align your thoughts with your now. Slow down and consciously live your life. In doing so, time does not race by so quickly and you will experience a fuller and more meaningful life.
