At Least He Likes Beer?
16/10/2018 Duración: 36minOn Today's Episode.... The dumpster fire continues to rage with the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh. While horrible accusations have been made, does any of it really matter any more? Should we be worried that an alleged rapist and former frat boy now has the swing vote on the US Supreme Court? Probably. On this episode, we say “Thank God we live in Canada” and forge ahead passing judgement on our neighbours to the south. Also Overheard: Josh has a sultry voice. In Eighteen-dickity-two, Lincoln sailed the ocean blue. She Shed. By the Seashore. George Carlin had a few words about stupid people.… Jaywalking Chicken…shall we say, lover? Al Gore never claimed he invented the internet. HOLO-REAGAN SMASH! Mike and Josh need to read more books. Just do it. Even if she said no. We want to hear what you think! Don’t just yell angrily at whatever dumb thing Tim just said, or laugh derisively at one of Mike’s opinons! Write a comment in the comment section below,

Bonne Fête, Two And Change!
09/10/2018 Duración: 38minOn This Week's Show.... We almost missed it, but this is our one year anniversary of doing the show! What better way to celebrate a Canadian podcast than to discuss a perennial Canadian hot button issue, bilingualism! There are over 7.6 million francophones in Canada, representing about 20% of the population. However, most francophones are concentrated in the eastern part of Canada, primarily in la belle province, Quebec. What impact does this have on the anglophone parts of Canada? Do francophones require additional rights or protections under the law, or do we already have sufficient systems in place? Listen and enjoy! Editor’s Note: Tim has a cold during this episode, but powered through anyway. Also Overheard: Our apologies to Tim’s dad…. Ochre is sort of a dark orange. There are tons of aboriginal languages in Canada! The Josh origin story. We forgot our own anniversary! There were 8 Rocky Movies. CBC tried to track down the phone scammers in India. There’s nothing better going

What A Disaster!
02/10/2018 Duración: 38minOn This Week's Show.... At the height of hurricane season, and with the recent tornado touching down in the Ottawa area, Tim, Josh, and Mike take some time to ask what the role of the government should be in disaster relief. Should the federal government completely take over? Or should the role be more consultative or that of a facilitator? Any way you slice it, people are in need and shouldn’t suffer because someone forgot to pick up thousands of pallets of potable water. Thanks for listening! Also Overheard: Josh is still upset about the time we switched his beer, and has his revenge. We have a reluctant studio audience! Karl Marx and Laura Engels Wilder wrote the Communist Manifesto Cruft is a cromulent word! “I’m not saying correlation equals causation, but I think the implications are clear – can we risk not having more Tommy Lee Jones volcano films?” – Tim We keep messing up our own timeline The Cajun Navy is just a bunch of people with boats…and they’re awesome Turns out the

50th Episode: Human Supremacist
25/09/2018 Duración: 37minOn This Week's Episode.... Has it been 50 episodes already? Seems like just yesterday we were three guys with a single microphone. Since it’s a milestone episode (and because we haven’t been kicked off the internet yet), we decided to tackle a tough topic. Capital Punishment is practiced by several countries around the world. While it’s not practiced in Canada, there is often heated debate that comes up when we talk about very emotional criminal cases. When the topics get tough, we get Perli! Our friend Perli joined Tim, Mike, and Josh and brought the philophical question, if not the practical question – if you could prove beyond the shadow of a doubt someone is guilty, is capital punishment right? Hold on to your butts! Also Overheard: Next episode, Josh gets a sippy cup…. Tim has trouble getting beyond a reasonable doubt No, this guy is not Stephen Harper Someone throw a pie or something! Vodka and Gatorade? Mike goes to a dark, dark place…. In fact, Tim has met MANY Todds that were

Smile, You're On Camera!
18/09/2018 Duración: 34minOn Today's Episode.... It seems inevitable in today’s society that if you do something dumb, you’re going to get caught on camera. Instead making it to Instagram, what about when we make it to a government list of speed demons? With red light cameras in almost every major municipality, and Toronto experimenting with photo radar in school zones, what’s a man child with more horsepower in his car than sense to do? Mike contends it’s an issue of basic civil liberties, but Tim and Josh have other ideas. Who’s right? Listen in to find out! Also Overheard.... We lose track of what episode we’re recording. Shanking is good. Shiving is bad. Mike EARNED his six tax writeoffs, OKAY? Did you know that vasectomies can now be performed by medical professionals? “How about I beat the shit out of you until you give me $20?” Lil Jon, please don’t sue us. If you know the legal age of consent, chances are you’ve crossed that barrier. Yes, Commissioners and Wellington is a bad intersection. They sh

SKEET SKEET SKEET Shooting (Ban)
11/09/2018 Duración: 37minOn Today's Episode.... We welcome Mike back from his two week hiatus (something about a llama?), and Laura sits in with us to talk about the proposal to ban handguns in urban areas in Canada. This debate is a little less contentious on our side of the border, since we don’t have a second amendment to deal with, but it manages to stir emotions nonetheless. Are you in favour of a total ban? Should we regulate firearms more? Or are we already infringing enough on people’s enjoyment of shiny metal penis surrogate firearms? Tune in and enjoy! Also Overheard: What if Nike made MAGA hats? It’s really hard to own a gun in Japan…. “I’m not racist but…” SKEET SKEET SKEET SKEET SKEET shooting. “F*ck off, I like guns!” Josh v. Mike – who would win a SKEET SKEET SKEET shooting contest? Reliks is still there! Apparently, Strathroy, Ontario has a bathsalts problem. We want to hear what you think! Don’t just yell angrily at whatever dumb thing Tim just said, or laugh derisively at one o

Doug Ford: Government By Troll?
04/09/2018 Duración: 34minOn Today's Show... Mike still has the week off, so Steve and Jordan are joining Tim and Josh to talk about our Republican to the north, Doug Ford. Love him or hate him, he’s pushing ahead with his agenda. Tax cuts, curriculum reform, downsizing Toronto city hall…and he’s just getting started. What do we think? Listen and find out! Editor’s Note: This episode was recorded on the 24th of August. The news cycle moves quickly, so we may have one or two already out of date referrences. Also Overheard Step up your game, Canadian brewers! Once again, how can you be that fat and a crackhead? The guy who put his car in space just because he could won. Platforms only matter in Donkey Kong. The people’s view of Kathleen Wynn. Just kidding, Mike. Your ancestors were actually a clean and industrious people. Here’s the link to report your teacher… The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions regulate banks in Canada, okay Josh? Doug Ford 2022: At Least There’s No Russians Involv
