This week, I sit down with The Steel City Medium, Leslie Gray. Leslie has had a special gift ever since she could remember. At a young age, Leslie would be able to get certain premonitions, feel certain emotions from animals, and communicate with spirits. Her first time communicating with the afterlife, was with two people who expired in the home she grew up in. The man, a butcher, was covered in blood and frightened her. The woman, old and frail, was protective of her. Both people far from being alive, were still able to communicate with this little girl. Leslie has been using her gift since she was young to try and help anyone she can. Listen to our conversation about how she began this journey. This week, I talk to the extremely talented Zach Brown. Zach is one of the most interesting people I’ve had the pleasure to speak with. When I first saw Zach’s art, all I could imagine was a silent person who paints by candle light while some creepy ass music plays in the background. Boy, was I wrong. Zach is an endless stream of information and energy. I sat there and listened to everything he spoke about and tried to keep up. I wish I could be inside his head only for a moment to see how he processes information because he had a wealth of knowledge that poured from his mouth. We jump all over the place and touch on lots of different topics. Usually, I’m the one who drives the conversation in the episodes. But this week, Zach took the drivers seat and I loved every second. He kept me on my toes. We talk about painting, inspiration, music, creative process, and so much more. It is truly so interesting to hear how someone this talented comes up with ideas and executes one of his many larger scale works. Enjoy

This week, I sit down with Kevin Drobish. Kevin is the Distance Education Pathology Instructor at Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science (PIMS). Kevin grew up in Pittsburgh as a skate rat before moving away and working as a musician for some years. After a bad experience with a family member being poorly taken care after their passing, he decided to he wanted to start down the path to help the deceased. Kevin and I talk about skating, homemade salsa, the situation that led him to PIMS, working with the dead, different cases he's worked on, studying under for Cyril Wecht, and how he fell in love with what he does. Kevin has performed over 1300 autopsies and now he is an instructor a PIMS. You can tell how much he loves what he does. This was absolutely my favorite episode to date. This week, I sit down with Khama 'The Deathstar' Worthy. Khama is a fighter from Pittsburgh who’s been on the road to the UFC for a very long time. I spoke with Khama a while back for Episode 3 of ICYRB and during that episode we spoke about his childhood, how he got into mixed martial arts, his martial arts academy, and his dream of fighting in the UFC. That conversation was February 1st, 2018. No more than a year and a half later, Khama would get a call from the UFC to fight Devonte Smith for the preliminary main event on the biggest card of the year... on 5 days notice. This week, I sit down with the super talented Anna Calabrese. Anna is a chef, artist, food stylist, potter, hot sauce maker, coffee lover, and retired emo kid. I wanted to sit down and talk with Anna because she is doing so much cool shit! She fell in love with cooking at a young age and she had her heart set on doing something with food. This whole episode we dive into what her experience was like in culinary school and all the different places she worked in the years after school. After I grill her about her work life in food, we talk about all the other things she’s got going on. Anna always liked art and she had a stack of watercolors laying around and she decided to start selling them on etsy and it took off. She’s racked up over 300 sales with all her awesome Calabazaaa Co characters she comes up with. On top of working her regular job as a food stylist and pumping out paintings, she also just started making her very own Bazaaa Sauce hot sauce so we talk about the process behind it all! This episode I’m going solo to talk about the epic trip I just got back from. I flew to California this past weekend to witness a once in a lifetime experience with my friends. Four years ago, a band that we love called The Ghost Inside was driving through Texas when something tragic happened. In the middle of the night, an 18 wheeler crashed into them head on and changed their lives forever. Nobody knew if they’d ever play another show again. Their driver lost his life, their drummer lost his leg, and the rest of the band all had terrible injuries they had to come back from. Fans didn’t know what was going to come of the band after all of this until a couple years went by and all of a sudden they changed their photo on socials and caught everyone’s attention. The Ghost Inside was going to play one night only at The Shrine in LA and there was no way we would miss it!
