Canadian hip-hop musician from the Ontario-area MPC Smoke delivers relatable , emotional lyrics as well as showcases his various vocal talents in every song. He is highly influenced by Juice Wrld and XXXtentacion and Also enjoys Blink-182. Born Bret Purdy in 1993, The Ontario artist grew up playing guitar, piano , and writing lyrics in his spare time in his early high school years. After the passing of his friend Breezy who at the time would always encourage Bret to pursue his career in music Bret did just that . Starting off as Lil-$moke based off the nickname he was given Smokie by Breezy , he dropped his first single " Double Cup Love " to Youtube and Soundcloud . Slowly gaining listens and traction he realized music was something he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Peetr Nickle - master of everything audio - sits down with Richard to discuss his start and passion for audio engineering and technology and his thoughts on past experiences on how the community can change to have a more arts and culture scene. Peetr is from the hills of Armour Township, settled in and raised two North Bay after many escapades around the country. He’s made his living in audio production for the last 25 years, and put together recordings and shows while working as a dogsled guide and guitar/vacuum tech prior to committing to full audio life. Artistic Director of the On The Edge Fringe Festival Kelsey Ruhl sits down with Richard to discuss her personal path as an actress in Northern Ontario as well as the ever-growing On the Edge Fringe Festival. Kelsey Ruhl is a Theatre Arts graduate of Canadore College. Ruhl first appeared in the docudrama Harold and Lorna and has since appeared in the feature films The Captive, Christmas with Tucker, Algonquin, Christmas Inheritance, Midnight Masquerade, Valentine Ever After, Crossword Mystery, Christmas at Cartwright’s and James Vs. Kevin Love was born and raised on the small island of Nassau, Bahamas. From a young age, he had an interest in the field of arts and entertainment.
