The sinless Christ died for our sins, was buried and raised on the third day. He reigns at the right hand of the Father, interceding on our behalf, and He will reign until all of His enemies have been destroyed. He is coming again. Those who are in Christ will be raised and will reign with Him forever. The Good News He wins. He will deliver the kingdom of God to the Father after destroying every rule, authority, and power. He has given us a beautiful story. What is yours?

Wisdom will lead you even when DARKNESS surrounds you. The star needed for guidance and direction was most clear when the wise men were in the dark. Wisdom will lead you to where God wants you. The principle behind a journey of faith is that it is a journey of purpose not of aimless wandering. Whether you are in the darkness of a circumstance or in the darkest of times, God still gives wisdom in your situation.

What makes a gift perfect is how it’s given, not how it’s received or what the gift is. He gives the power of choice. We’re not saved because we’re in a “Christian Nation” or because of our parents. It is only through Christ’s DNA. His blood alone has made a way for me to have the power of choice.

Two angels had come to the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah with one agenda – to remove Lot’s family from the city. God would destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah literally by burning sulfur due to the wickedness of the people AND for its lack of righteousness among the people – not even ten righteous. Much like Lot, God gives us instructions in our own lives. What do you do (or not do) when God gives you a command? Does God find you hesitating?

As we now journey in God’s timeline into the sixth feast, we find that it is not a feast at all. Rather, God calls it ‘a Day’ - the Day of Atonement. There’s actually no food, but the people of God are called to a complete fast from sunset on the ninth day of Tishri until the sun sets on the tenth. The feast day was to be a fast day.

The first of Tishri starts a two-day feast called the Feast of Trumpets (a.k.a, A day of trumpets, the Day of an Awakening Blast or Rosh Ha’Shanah (Rabbinic tradition commemorates this day as the day God created man). The Feast of Trumpets opens a ten-day period that God called to be a day of remembrance. God wants us to live our lives with a constant expectation of Jesus’ return. The Seven Holy Feasts are the outline or blueprint for the redemption of mankind. They are all a type and shadow of the Christ who will redeem and fulfill all things. Four are completed (celebrated in the Spring); three are still to be fulfilled (celebrated in the Fall). The Feasts of Passover (the blood) and Unleavened Bread (the Body) were fulfilled through the cross. Now, we turn to the third of the feasts… The Feast of Firstfruits

Besides the Sabbath that occurred once a week, the Jews were to celebrate as a nation 19 days as holidays (holy days from Old English word) to the Lord. In North America, it means any dedicated day or period of rest or relaxation. Leavening is an agent such as yeast that causes bread dough to rise. And the leavening process takes time. The Israelites had no time to spare when they left Egypt, so they baked and ate flatbread. What started out as a necessity continued for a week. The Feasts commanded in Scripture are recognized as Jewish Holydays (seven major); but more specifically, they are known as The Feasts of the Lord. They were not meant for tradition or routine.
