Today, I covered Full House S2E7: Joey Gets Tough, which aired on November 25, 1988. In this episode Joey and DJ's relationship becomes strained when she is an hour late returning home and forgets to call a worried Joey who is beside him and imagining the worst has happened to her. In order to start pulling rank and proving to Danny that he can be an authority figure and disciplinarian, during his heated confrontation with DJ, he forbids he from competing in her karate tournament that she's been practicing for months on. The side plot has Jesse and his band performing on Wake-Up San Francisco as a way to promote his weekend gig at Slims and fill the venue. Danny and Becky's producer only agrees to have the band on if Danny could do a number with the band, which he does and completely takes over as lead singer hijacking the song Proud Mary and ad libbing lyrics, while performing an

Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast. Today, I covered the Season 3 Finale S3E24: The Babysitters, which aired on April 7, 1985. In this episode Rick babysits a girl he suspects was taken from her mother by her father. Out of the 3 Season Finales I covered so far, this one was my favorite, maybe because it brought me to tears and tugged on my heartstrings by covering a serious topic such as kidnapping. Either way this was a great episode to end the Season on. I still have three holiday episodes of Season 3 to cover, so it’s not officially in the bag yet. In this episode: Danny is named Bay Area Magazine’s Bachelor Of The Month and every available woman in San Fran is lining up to get a piece of him. One lady I kid you not, jogged across the Bay Bridge to his back door to ask Danny to dinner. 24 dates in 10 days. I did the math that’s 2.5 dates a day. Clearly Danny is not pacing himself. Granted he’s only bachelor of the month, not the year, so he’s got to get the dates while he can because once the month’s up he’ll be yesterday’s news and no one will care. Three years of submitting his photo and bio finally paid off. In this episode we see: Jesse comes back home from a 6 week tour with his band, to an astonished surprise that his wife Becky is very visibly pregnant which he takes awkward glee in pointing out. DJ starts high school and wants to be viewed by Danny as being dressed too attractive (basically too hot) to leave the house, it’s a blazer/skirt combo Deej, maybe she should takes lessons from Kimmy who’s too hot for school outfit makes Danny’s eyes bug out. In this episode When Alfonso is not doing well in school, Dex thinks he is spending too much time on his dancing. And when Alfonso's grades don't improve, Dex forbids from entering a dance competition. But Bruce Jenner who is trying out some exercise equipment Edward has developed, thinks he knows what Alfonso's problem is. This was a strong Alfonso episode, he really knocked it out of the park with his acting in this one. I like that we dealt with a serious topic that is still very prevalent today, dyslexia. Granted this was 1985 and sometimes this learning disability tended to get overlooked by teachers and school officials or even sometimes misdiagnosed as another learning disability like ADD or ADHD. Today, I covered the two part episode S3E16 and S3E17: Marry Me, Marry Me Parts 1 and 2 which aired on February 3 and February 10, 1985. In Part 1: Kate is concerned that her relationship with Edward is not moving forward, which is her subtle way of saying that she wants to get married and have a family. But Edward still reeling from his first marriage is hesitant. But when Dexter tells him he should marry her, he proposes and Kate accepts. When Ricky learns of this, he's not exactly thrilled. Which leads Edward to blurt that this is what Kate wants which she over hears. In Part 2: Following Kate's spat with Edward, she decides to leave town for awhile. Edward wanting to see her tracks her down to the cruise ship she's about to leave on. When she decides to go, Edward is heart broken. But she returns and agrees to marry him. Hey Everyone, Angela Bowen here, the host of Together, We're Gonna Find Our Way: An Unofficial Silver Spoons Podcast. Today I covered S3E15: What’s Cookin?, which aired on January 27, 1985. In this episode Rick's suggestion for a Stratton Flour Mills promotion lands him a job at his grandfather's company. This was a cute episode. Lulu’s back and cookin up a storm, helping to promote Stratton Flour through a tv cooking segment at her restaurant,Grandfather Stratton gives Rick an opportunity to prove himself a good worker and he ends up blowing off his task of filing paperwork to go to a Mets game with Alfonso. Of course Grandfather fires him, no second chances for Rick which leads to Lulu stepping in and having Grandfather and Rick do a little role reversal to help solve their problem. We also get to hear Joel Higgins’s (Edward Stratton the 3rd) beautiful John Denver quality singing voice and this episode marks Pearl Bailey’s last appearance.
