  • Yeshua: Daily Tamid Lamb Offering Pt 4 ~ Removal of the Ashes from the Sacrifice Altar

    28/01/2020 Duración: 25min

At cockcrow, the ashes were removed from the sacrifice altar. Cockcrow is dawn. Any one of the Levites who wanted to remove the ashes would rise before dawn to bathe. The superintendant would come knock and he would say, “Let all who have bathed come and draw lots”. (Tamid 26a). The priest who drew lots to remove the ashes would first wash his hands and feet. Initially, the ashes are put beside the altar. Later the ashes are put outside of the camp. There were three camps in the wilderness Tabernacle. Similarly, there are three camps in Jerusalem. The ashes were put outside of the camp in a clean place: “Command Aaron and his sons, saying, ‘This is the law of the burnt offering: The burnt offering shall be on the hearth upon the altar all night until morning, and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it. ‘Then he shall take off his garments, put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place. Leviticus 6:9,11 The Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem is “outside of the cam

What were some of the daily activities in the Temple? In this segment we look at: *The night watches in the Temple. *The removal of the ashes from the sacrifice altar. At night, guards were placed in 24 stations around the gates and courts. Each guard consisted of 10 men, so that in all, there were 240 Levites and 10 priests on duty every night. According to the Jewish calculation of time, there were three watches in the night. The head of the Temple was the captain of the Temple. The captain of the Temple was leader over the Levitical Temple guard. A Temple night watcher who fell asleep had his clothes burned. What is the application for us? Yeshua is the

  • Yeshua: Daily Tamid Lamb Offering Pt 2 ~ Half Shekel Offerings: A Communal Sacrifice

    28/01/2020 Duración: 25min

In this teaching segment we will look at the commandment from the God of Israel that every Israelite of the age of 20 and older was to bring once a year, a half shekel. The half shekels was collected for the service of the Temple. The half shekel was also given for the atonement of the soul: The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls. Exodus 30:15 The daily tamid lamb offering was a communal sacrifice. The sacrifice was done on behalf of the nation of Israel. It was financed out of the half shekel offerings that were collected from the people once/year. The daily tamid lamb offering is linked to the entire nation of Israel. When Yeshua died on the tree, the way in which he died on the tree, is associated with the daily tamid lamb offering. When Yeshua died on the tree and the shed his blood, He was doing so on behalf of the entire nation of Israel. He also died for all the nations on

  • Sacrifice of Praise - Pt 3 ~ The Goal of the Potter is to make us vessels of honor

    07/11/2019 Duración: 25min

The Todah sacrifice of praise is associated with: *restoration (2 Chronicles 29:1-3) *sanctification (2 Chronicles 29:4-5) *purification (Nehemiah 12:30) *prayer (Psalm 141:2) *song and worship (Psalm 69:30) *burnt offering (2 Chron 29:27-28) *total commitment from the heart (Leviticus 1:3, 9) We enter Yeshua’s presence with praise and thanksgiving: O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms. Psalm 95:1-2 Yeshua is the potter. We are the clay. Our lives are in the potter’s hand. In molding and shaping our lives, the potter mars the clay (wounds our hearts) but the goal of the potter is to make us vessels of honor unto Him (heals our broken hearts). • Sacrifice of Praise - Pt 2 ~ The Thank offering is associated with the Shelem (Peace) Offering

    07/11/2019 Duración: 25min

The Thank offering (or Todah) is associated with the Shelem (Peace) offering. And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD.If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried. Leviticus 7:11-12 One of the applications or meaning of this offering for alliance or friendship. It is an offering that is associated with having table fellowship with someone. If we want to have a personal relationship with the God of Israel we must bring to him a “Todah” or a thank offering. We can see how the Todah (thank) offering is associated with the Shelem (peace) offering in 2 Chronicles 33:16: And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel. What is the altar? It is our heart. Why would we need to repair our altar

  • Sacrifice of Praise - Pt 1 ~ Thank offering: Medicine for healing our wounded heart

    07/11/2019 Duración: 25min

The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endures for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, says the LORD. Jeremiah 33:11 The Thank offering (Todah ) is the medicine for healing our wounded heart. What causes a wounded heart? Often it comes from offenses that happen in our lives. It can come from other people or it can come from some form of disappointment that comes into our lives that causes us to withdraw from the God of Israel. The Thank offering is a proclamation that we made to the God of Israel, thanking Him for His goodness, His kindness, His mercy, His compassion, which He shows and expresses. A Thank offering is also declaring that when disappointment happens in our lives, that the God of Israel is sovereign and He rules ove

  • Was Torah Nailed To Cross? Pt 7 ~ Following the Torah by the Holy Spirit

    27/10/2019 Duración: 25min

Paul associates the veil that is upon the face of Moses to a veil that is over the heart. Paul is explaining the heart attitude and the mind and our actions and how we live our lives unto Yeshua and how we minister to others in this midrash, comparing it to a stony heart versus the spirit of the Torah. And afterward all the children of Israel came nigh: and he gave them in commandment all that the LORD had spoken with him in mount Sinai. And till Moses had done speaking with them, he put a veil on his face. Exodus 34:32-33 A veil over the heart is a stony heart and a carnal mind. But their minds were blinded …2 Corinthians 3:14 The deaf and blind do not follow the Torah. A veiled heart does not believe. The ministry of death has a veil upon the heart. The ministry of life removes the veil from the heart. But their minds were blinded for until this day remains the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament which vail is done away in Messiah. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, t

  • Was Torah Nailed To Cross? Pt 4 ~ The Letter of the Law Kills but the Spirit of the Law Brings LIFE!

    27/10/2019 Duración: 25min

In this teaching segment we take a look at what Paul said: The letter of the law kills but the spirit of the law brings life. What did Paul mean by this? Was he speaking against the Torah when he said that the “letter of the law” kills? Was he saying to follow the spirit INSTEAD of following the Torah? Or, was he teaching us the proper way to follow the Torah in expressing our faith in Yeshua as Messiah. Who also has made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter but of the spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:6 Is Paul saying that following the Torah kills but following the Holy Spirit brings life? If we look at 2 Corinthians 3 more closely, we see that Paul is teaching on how to minister following Yeshua to others. In doing so, he is giving us a Torah midrash on the proper way we are to live our lives in ministering Yeshua to others. So how would we live our lives and minister to others according to the letter of the law? And how would we live our lives and minister to others according to the spi

  • Was Torah Nailed To Cross? Pt 6 ~ There are Different Levels of Glory

    27/10/2019 Duración: 25min

But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away. 2 Corinthians 3:7 What is done away with? Stony hearts. Ministering to others with a stony heart. But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come? 1 Corinthians 15:35 Paul is answering the question, what kind of bodies will we have when we are resurrected? He answers the question with these verses: There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differs from another star in glory. So also is the resurrection of the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:40-42 Paul is saying that all believers in Yeshua as Messiah will receive resurrected bodies, but not all believers

  • Was Torah Nailed To Cross? Pt 5 ~ Ministering with a Stony heart v/s a heart of flesh

    27/10/2019 Duración: 25min

What is Paul saying in 2 Corinthians 3:6? Who also has made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter but of the spirit, for the letter kills … He is saying that when we minister Messiah and show Messiah to others, if we do so with a stony heart, or by the letter of the Torah, it does not produce fruit, it kills, but if we minister Yeshua to others by the spirit of the Torah, in love, then this produces life. How does the letter kill? The Torah was given as a covenant. Any who do not keep/follow the Torah are under a curse: Cursed be he that confirms not all the words of this Torah to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen. Deuteronomy 27:26 … the soul that sins, it shall die. Ezekiel 18:4 What does it look like to minister with a stony heart? In this teaching segment, we will look at an example of this from 1 Samuel 15:1-24. • Was Torah Nailed To Cross? Pt 3 ~ What WAS nailed to the cross?

    27/10/2019 Duración: 25min

In this teaching segment we will look at a commonly misunderstood verse: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross. Colossians 2:14 Mainstream Christianity interprets that the “handwriting of ordinances” is the Torah. Is this what Paul was saying? When we look at the previous verse we get more context: And you being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, has he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses. Colossians 2:13 It is our SINS that have been forgiven. Sin is our enmity with God. Sin is what separates us from Him. And, it is our SINS that have been nailed to the cross, not the Torah. We learn in this teaching segment that Yeshua abolished man made decrees and doctrines. Sin is the transgression of the Torah. The Torah was given as a covenant. The penalty for breaking the Torah is the “curse of the law”. Yeshua redeemed us by being a curse for us when He died o

  • Was Torah Nailed To Cross? Pt 2 ~ The Oral Torah v/s the Written Torah

    27/10/2019 Duración: 25min

In this teaching segment, we look at a commonly misunderstood verse: Having abolished in his flesh the enmity even the law of commandments contained in ordinances…Ephesians 2:15 The Greek word “ordinances” is Strongs 1378 and it means “dogma”. We will look at other scriptures where this word occurs and we will see that it is associated with man made decrees. Yeshua abolished man made decrees and doctrines of man. We see that the Oral Torah is the decree of the Rabbis. The Oral Torah, which includes the Talmud and the Mishnah, is the rabbis interpretation of the Written Torah. The rabbis teach that their interpretation of the Torah and their decrees from the Oral Torah supercedes and is above the Written Torah. • Was Torah Nailed To Cross? Pt 1 ~ Overview and Summary

    27/10/2019 Duración: 25min

As an overview to this teaching we will be sharing from: *Ephesians 2:13-18 *Colossians 2:4-22 *2 Corinthians 3 It is from these scripture passages that much of mainstream Christianity makes the claim that Paul taught that when Yeshua died on the tree, and that the Torah and the need for following the Torah was nailed to the cross. Is this true or not? Our teaching series will delve into this topic in depth. We begin by understanding WHO Paul is speaking to in Ephesians 2. Paul is speaking to those who are “far off” and those who are “near”. Paul is speaking to the Northern and the Southern kingdom. Those that were “far off” in their exile is a reference to the Northern kingdom, while those that were “near” is a reference to the Southern kingdom. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. And He came and preached peace to you who were afar off and to those who were near. Ephesians 2:13, 17 The Northern and the Southern kingdom become “one new man” in

  • The Battle Between Jacob and Esau Pt 7 ~ The House of Jacob is Restored and United

    25/10/2019 Duración: 25min

In the end of days, the house of Joseph is needed to defeat Esau. When I have bent Judah for me, filled the bow with Ephraim, and raised up thy sons, O Zion, against thy sons, O Greece, and made thee as the sword of a mighty man. Zechariah 9:13 The reuniting of Joseph and his brothers in Genesis 45 is a foreshadowing of the reuniting of Northern kingdom and Southern kingdom in the end of days. The house of Jacob is restored and united in the end of days: Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick and write upon it, For Judah and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions. And join them one to another into one stick; and they shall become one in your hand. Ezekiel 37:16-17 Jacob rises (the Messianic kingdom) when Esau is defeated. King Messiah will defeat Esau. • The Battle Between Jacob and Esau Pt 6 ~ Esau Wants to Make the Mountains of Israel His Possession

    25/10/2019 Duración: 25min

In the end of days, Esau will say that the ‘mountains of Israel’ (West Bank and Jerusalem) belongs to him instead of Jacob. In the end of days, Esau wages a war of violence against Jacob wanting him to not exist anymore. Jacob will defeat Esau in the end of days. The tents of Esau want to make the name of Israel to cease to exist: For, lo, your enemies make a tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. They have taken crafty counsel against thy people and consulted against thy hidden ones. They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. For they have consulted together with one consent: they are confederate against thee. Psalm 83:2-5 In this teaching segment we also look at Nebuchadnezzar’s dream from Daniel 2 and we look at Daniel’s vision of four beasts from Daniel 7. • The Battle Between Jacob and Esau Pt 5 ~ Understanding the End Time Battle

    25/10/2019 Duración: 25min

To understand the end time battle between Jacob and Esau it is vitally important to understand this Torah principle: the end is told from the beginning. Biblical history is prophecy. The events that took place with our spiritual forefathers literally happened but these events are also prophetic template and blueprint for the final generation in the end of days. Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure: Yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. Isaiah 46:9-11 In the end of days Jacob battles with Esau and they will be at odds with each other. Jacob and Esau have two different world views. Jacob will prevail over Esau during Messianic times. In this teaching segment we will see how Esau is associated with Babylon and the spiritual nation of Babylon of the end of days. We learn more about the political and government characteristics of Esau. We learn that the daughter of Babylon is the daughter of Esau: By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion. Psalm 137:1, 7-8 We also learn that the USA is the end time spiritual land of Babylon. She is a “daughter” of the ancient, historical Babylon. The word that the LORD spoke against Babylon. Your mother shall be sore confounded; she that bare you shall be ashamed: behold, the hindermost of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land and a desert. • The Battle Between Jacob and Esau Pt 3 ~ Battle in the Melchizedek Government of God

    25/10/2019 Duración: 25min

The Melchizedek Priesthood rules in the government of God. It includes the roles of king, priest and firstborn. Esau was originally in line to become the next Melchizedek priest. However, because he did not value this role, he sold this birthright and role to Jacob. Since then Esau has been trying to take this position back by force. Esau was in position to be the 12th Melchizedek priest of the Kingdom of the God of Israel from the creation of the world. Esau sold his birthright (Melchizedek office in the Kingdom of the God of Israel) to Jacob. However, because he did not value this role, he sold this birthright and role to Jacob. Since then Esau has been trying to take this position back by force. Esau is described as having a ‘hairy garment’ which indicates a position of authority.Esau having a hairy garment indicates his willingness to use his position of power to deceive others. We can see that there is a spiritual battle in the government of God between Jacob and Esau. They are in a spiritual b

    25/10/2019 Duración: 25min

In this teaching segment, we continue to learn more about the spiritual characteristics of Esau. Esau is associated with Edom, which means red. This is also connected to the dragon and to the devil: And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. Genesis 25:30 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon.Revelation 12:3 While Jacob is associated with wheat, Esau is associated with the tare and with barley.Esau is also associated with stubble that will be burned up: And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD has spoken it. Obadiah 1:18 Esau does not follow the Torah: Therefore as the fire devours the stubble … because they have cast away the Torah of the LORD of hosts. Isaiah 5:24 For more Eddie Chumney teachings a
