In this teaching segment we look at the reign of the Kings of Judah beginning with King Saul. In following this biblical chronical of the Kings of Judah we see that the total number of Judean Kings that ruled is 513 years. The Babylonian captivity and exile took place in 586 BC. In following the period of rulership for each King, we can see a pattern: that the period of time from Adam to Yeshua is approximately 4,000. In this teaching segment, we will be looking at examples in the bible that prophetically foreshadow 7,000 years of time and 6,000 years of the present era, which is associated with the first 6 days of creation when man is to work, and then on the 7th day, he is to rest, representing the final 1,000 years. We begin with Genesis 7:11: In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Noah, being 600 years of age when the flood came, is a prophecy, that after 6,000 years of this present era, as we start the seventh day, the Day of the LORD. In this teaching segment, we look at another biblical chronology called the Ussher chronology or biblical timeline. James Usher lived 1581 to to 1656. He became a professor of theology in Dublin in 1621. In 1654, Usher published a book entitled, “Annals of the World”. It is a historical chronology from the ancient world until AD 70. In this book, he calculated the date of creation to be 4004 BC. 4004 BC became the canonical date of creation when it was printed as a margin in all editions of the King James Bible after 1701. Ussher calculated from the creation of the world to the birth of Yeshua was 4,000 years. Antiochus Epiphanes IV declared a “New World Order” under the auspices of the Greek empire. He made several evil decrees. We see that he is a shadow picture of the future Anti-Messiah. During his rule over the Middle East, Antiochus wanted to “Hellenzie” the entire known world so that “all would be one people.” This is the same goal that the “New World Order” has today! How will the “Controversy of Zion” be played out in the end of days? To understand the end we must go back to the beginning. Biblical history is prophecy. One of the ways of God is that He works in patterns that repeat over and over. Why is mixture harmful? In the garden of Eden, there was the tree of the knowledge of good AND evil. This was mixture and it personified Babylon. Babylon means “confusion by mixing”.
