Threshold Covenant ~ Pt 4 ~ Babylon Worshiped Baal and Ishtar
02/07/2019 Duración: 25minThe boundary of an area (city) was seen as the place of authority of the diety of that region. The gates of a city were seen as crossing the threshold into the area of the diety of that region. When you entered into the gates of a city, you were expected to show respect and / or worship the diety of that city. Ziggurats were altars to ascend to the temple of the city god. Babylon worshipped Baal and Ishtar. The sins of Solomon were that he worshipped Baal and Ishtar. There was Baal, Asherah and Ishtar worship in Canaan. Asherah is associated with Baal worship: they go together hand in hand. Ahab and Jezebel led the nation into Baal and Asherah worship: And he reared up an altar for Baal in the house of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. And Ahab made a grove … 1 Kings 16:32-33 Baal and Ishtar were the gods of war, weather, love / sexuality and agriculture.Baal worship is associated with stone or sun pillars. An obelisk is a stone pillar. They are male phallic symbols.Fire and human sacrifice are two ele

Threshold Covenant ~ Pt 3 ~ Threshold Covenant for the Community
02/07/2019 Duración: 25minAdam had the job of being the “door-keeper” in the Garden of Eden. In Genesis 2:15, it is written: Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. Genesis 2:15 A thief does not go through the door. In the garden of Eden, HaSatan came in as a thief. Adam was the guardian of the garden. He failed to guard the door to the garden: So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:6 We see in 1 Timothy 2:14, that it was Eve who was deceived. Adam was not deceived; he failed to guard the “gate” or doorway to the garden: And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression. The community house is the Temple. The Temple is the house of Yeshua and it is the throne of Yeshua. Yeshua’s Temple is not to be defiled. Our body is the “temple” of the Holy Spirit. For more Eddie Chumney t

Threshold Covenant ~ Pt 2 ~ The Words of Torah are to be upon our Doorposts
02/07/2019 Duración: 25minBlood on the threshold is a sign of the covenant with the God of that house. A house marked with the tokens of the threshold covenant invited the deity into the home. The blood is a sign of the threshold covenant, as it is written: And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. Exodus 12:13 Token, in Hebrew is “owth” and it means: sign, signal, distinguishing mark, remembrance. The words of the Torah are to be upon our doorposts. The Hebrews were commanded to dedicate their doorways to the one living God. This covenant with God is spoken of in Deuteronomy 6:4-9: Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Deu

Threshold Covenant - Pt 1 ~ What is a Threshold Covenant?
02/07/2019 Duración: 25minIn this teaching, we are going to see that the way that the God of Israel brought the children of Israel out of Egypt when they put the blood of the lamb on the doorposts, was that this was done through a threshold covenant. What is a threshold covenant? We will learn more about this. Historically, the threshold covenant was associated with an individual household. Whenever a person came through the door, they crossed over the threshold of the door. When formally making a covenant with a person crossing over the threshold, you would slay an animal and then have a covenant meal with them. This concept of a family threshold covenant was later extended to the community. In the community form of a threshold covenant, it was represented by a temple that was built for the community. We will also see how Jerusalem itself is regarded as the threshold for the God of Israel. Dividing Jerusalem is like trespassing upon the LORD’s threshold and He will bring judgment on the nations for dividing Jerusalem. For more Edd

Levitical Priesthood Pt 5 ~ Levitical Priests in the Messianic Era
27/06/2019 Duración: 25minThe new covenant takes away the stony heart and replaces it with a heart of flesh. The stony heart is disobedient and does not follow the Torah. In the new covenant, the Torah is written upon a heart of flesh: A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Ezekiel 36:26-27 Yeshua is our High Priest after the order of Melchizedek Priest. It is this Priesthood that administers the renewed covenant, that gives us a new heart and writes the Torah upon a heart of flesh. Yeshua’s Melchizedek Priesthood governs a better covenant with better promises. Yeshua’s Melchizedek Priesthood brings salvation. Yeshua’s Melchizedek Priesthood can bring the believer of Yeshua as Messiah into spiritual maturity. The Levitical Priesthood could not bring a person to spiritual maturity. Lev

Levitical Priesthood Pt 4 ~ Comparing the Levitical Priesthood to the Melchizedek Priesthood
27/06/2019 Duración: 25minJohn the Baptist was a Levitical Priest. We know this because it is stated in the scriptures that his father was a Levitical Priest: There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. Luke 1:5 But the angel said to him, Fear not, Zacharias: for your prayer is heard; and your wife Elisabeth shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name John. Luke 1:12 John the immerser (John the Baptist), who was a Levitical priest, declared Yeshua to be the acceptable lamb of God sacrifice. The Levites departed from following the Torah. The God of Israel found fault with the hearts of His Levitical priests. Because of this, the God of Israel gave us a renewed covenant where the Torah is written upon our hearts: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my Torah in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and w

Levitical Priesthood Pt 3 ~ The Role and Duties of the Levitical Priests
27/06/2019 Duración: 25minIn this teaching segment, we examine the role and duties of the Levitical Priests. The Levites were the ministers of the tabernacle, with its duties and services as it is written in Numbers 3:5-7: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister unto him. And they shall keep his charge, and the charge of the whole congregation before the tabernacle of the congregation, to do the service of the tabernacle. Levitical Priests also carried the ark of the covenant. The Levites were divided into courses. Israel was divided into 24 districts. Priests from each of the 24 districts served one week in the Temple twice a year. The Levitical Priests were teachers of the Torah and they were worship leaders. The Levites were given authority to make Torah rulings. They were also officers and judges. Listen in to learn more about the role and duties of the Levite Priests! Levitical Priesthood Pt 2 ~ The Origins of the Levitical Priesthood
27/06/2019 Duración: 25minIn the Melchizedek Priesthood, there are three offices or roles: Firstborn, King and Priest. These offices were split up by Jacob between three different groups. Joseph was given the firstborn birthright blessing. Judah was given the kingship blessing and office. And the Levite Priests were given the priestly blessing and office. The priestly office was transferred to the Levites after the sin of the golden calf incident: It was the firstborn who offered sacrifices to the golden calf: And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD. Exodus 24:5 After this, the role of Priesthood was transferred from the firstborn to the Levites: Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD'S side? Let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him. Exodus 32:25-26 Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the cattle of the Levites instead of

Levitical Priesthood Pt 1 ~ What is the Levitical Priesthood?
27/06/2019 Duración: 25minThis is an in-depth study into “What is the Levitical Priesthood?” What are the duties, the tasks, and the functions of the Levitical Priesthood? How does it compare and contrast to the Melchizedek Priesthood? Has the Levitical Priesthood been done away with? Or, do they still have an important future role to play out? Given that Yeshua is our Great High Priest forever in the order of Melchizedek, and that the Melchizedek Priesthood is a part of the government of the kingdom of the God of Israel, what is the role of the Levitical Priesthood during the redemption, the Messianic Era? Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 8 ~ Coming out from under Egypt and Pharoah
27/06/2019 Duración: 25minIn this teaching segment, we look at the word Egypt, which in Hebrew, is Mitsrayim. This word is associated with distress and oppression. It is also associated with spiritual descent. When you go to Egypt, which represents the world and the world system, you go down: And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land. Genesis 12:10 Mitsrayim comes from the Hebrew word Matsowr, which means: besiege, siege, entrenchment. The root word is tsuwr and it means: to distress, to be an adversary, to show hostility, treat as a foe. We see then, that Egypt is a place of captivity, trials, tribulations and distress. Egypt is a place of spiritual bondage: And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour: And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour. Exodus 1:13-14 What is Egypt and Pharo

27/06/2019 Duración: 25minIn this final teaching segment, we will be looking at examples of Hebrew idioms. We will look at the Hebrew idiom: “Israel is the apple of God’s eye” and look at the deeper spiritual meaning. For the LORD’s portion is His people;Jacob is the place of His inheritance.“He found him in a desert land And in the wasteland, a howling wilderness; He encircled him, He instructed him, He kept him as the apple of His eye. Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 9 ~ Defeating our Spiritual Giants
27/06/2019 Duración: 25minIn this teaching segment, we continue learning what the spiritual giants are in our lives and we learn about how to defeat them. When the LORD your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you, “and when the LORD your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them. Deuteronomy 7:1-2 We focus on the Hittites, which represent spiritual discouragement or being afraid. We also look at the Girgashites. They represent focusing on things that are earthly and visible. They also represent natural logic and human reasoning. We are to walk by faith and not by natural eyesight (human reasoning). We also look at the Amorites, the Canaanites, the Perrizites, the Hivites, the Jebusites For more Eddie Chumney teachi

Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 7 ~ The Importance of a Name in Hebrew Thought
27/06/2019 Duración: 25minIn Hebrew thought, your name represents your character, your calling and your spiritual destiny. This is why Yeshua was named salvation. Yeshua, in Hebrew, means salvation. That is who He is, that is His calling and that is his spiritual destiny. And she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name YESHUA: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 Anther name that we look at in this teaching segment is “Babylon”: Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. Genesis 11:9 In another example of the significance of names, Babylon, in Hebrew, means “confusion by mixing”. We also learn in this segment about how the Hebrew language uses a root system for its vocabulary. The root system is like a tree where the leaves (words) come from the branches (child root). The branches come from the trunk (Parent root) and the trunk comes out of the roots

Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 6 ~ Let's Start at the Very Beginning...
27/06/2019 Duración: 25minThe Jewish sages teach that the “world was created for the Mashiach”. When you look closely at the first word in the bible, Breishit, and break it down into component parts you will see at the deeper spiritual (sod) meaning the following: Bet= house Bar= son Brit = covenant Reishit = beginning/first Israel is called the beginning (Jeremiah 2:3). The Torah is called the beginning (Proverbs 8:22). Yeshua the Messiah is called the beginning (John 1:1-2). So they were all ONE in the beginning. The world was created for the sake of Israel, Torah and the Messiah. The world was created because the Father wanted to have a house for His son, and He went into covenant with “the beginning” in order to build that house. Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 5 ~ Deeper Spiritual Meaning of the Alef Tav
25/06/2019 Duración: 25minAlef and Tav are the first and the last letters of the Hebrew alphabet. Alef and Tav represents completion and perfection. In Deuteronomy 11:26, 28, we are asked to choose between blessing and curse: See, this day I set before you blessing and curse: blessing, if you obey the commandments of Hashem your God that I enjoin upon you this day… Regarding the blessing, the alef tav is used, but regarding the curse (v.29), it is omitted. So alef tav IS the blessing. In Genesis 1:1, there are seven Hebrew words in this verse. If we put those seven words on a menorah, we have seven branches of the menorah. The central branch is called the servant, and there are three branches to the right of the servant branch and three branches to the left of the servant. What Hebrew word is in the position of the shammash, or the servant? It is the Hebrew word, alef tav. Yeshua is alef tav. Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail be

Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 4 ~ Yeshua Supports ALL who stumble!
25/06/2019 Duración: 25minIn this teaching segment, we examine the deeper spiritual meaning of the Hebrew letter nun. Nun represents a fish. The fish was a first century Christian symbol. Psalm 145 is an acrostic and each verse begins with a Hebrew letter of the alphabet in sequential order. There are 21 verses in Psalm 145, but there are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. The letter nun is missing from the acrostic. Why? The 14th verse of this Psalm should begin with the letter nun, but the Psalm skips this letter and instead begins with samech, which denotes “support of the fallen.” The Sages explain that since the nun connotes nefila (נפילה), ‘falling,’ it was omitted. With this in mind, consider what verse 14 says: The LORD upholds all that fall, and raises up all those that be bowed down.Psalm 145:14 The omission of the verse beginning with nun suggest that when we fall, Yeshua will erase the record of our sins and lift us up! We also look at the deeper spiritual meaning of the letters, samech, ayin, pey, tzaddi, koof, resh

Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 3 ~ A Closer Look at "Hey" and "Vav"
25/06/2019 Duración: 25minIn this teaching segment, we explore the deeper spiritual meaning of the letter “hey”. This letter means “Lo” or “behold” or “to reveal”. When you look at the letter “hey”, it has two legs and one of them is out of joint. This reminds us of Jacob, who became “Israel” and he became the father of the twelve tribes of Israel. The definition of the word “hei” is “to break”. The hey sound is made by breathing outward. The letter hey represents the breathe of God or the Holy Spirit. Yeshua breathed on his disciples to receive the Holy Spirit: Then said Yeshua to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive the Holy Spirit. Secrets of Biblical Hebrew ~ Pt 2 ~ What is the Small Alef?
25/06/2019 Duración: 25minIn this second teaching segment, we look at Leviticus 1:1 in Hebrew. When you look at this verse in Hebrew, there is a small alef which precedes the verse. By separating the small alef from the four letters that precede it, we can construct the phrase (from Hebrew), “And he esteemed/honored the small alef”. Who, or what is the small alef? The small alef represents Yeshua. Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men. Philippians 2:6-7 Leviticus 1:1 represents Yeshua in His humility. The alef represents the God of Israel. How is this so? Listen to find out! In this segment, we also examine the letter “beit”. “Beit” is associated with house, family, tribe, nation or temple. We will learn about Yeshua’s house and His family. We also look at the deeper spiritual (sod) meaning of gimel and dalet in this teaching segment. For more Eddie Chumney teachings and beauti

The Elijah Message - Part 6
21/02/2019 Duración: 25minFocus: What is the Gospel of the Kingdom? ~The voice of him that cries in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Isaiah 40: 3 John the Baptist’s ministry was to call people to repent of sin, repent for not following torah, and to call people to return to the Father and to follow torah. John’s mission was to prepare the way for the Lord, make the path straight. The straight paths of the Lord is following His torah by the power of the Holy Spirit. This is how we come into the Kingdom of God. Part of the message of John is “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people.” Decoding those words, that is a reference to the ending of the exile of his scattered people.
