The foolish virgins miss the marriage. What are they missing? They miss Messiah’s return to gather and unite the exiles of Israel. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not. Matthew 25:10-11 “Know” in Hebrew, is “yada” and it means, “to know intimately.” Yeshua was rebuking the foolish virgins for not knowing Him intimately. Does this mean that Yeshua does not know the foolish virgins at all? That they are not saved? No! Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity. Matthew 7:22-23 You that work “iniquity”. What does this mean? Iniquity, in the Greek is: “anomia” and it means: The condition of being WITHOUT THE LAW/TORAH, being IGNORANT of the Torah and VIOLATING the Torah. This is the same word us

Matthew 25: 8-9 Why is it that the wise virgins are concerned that there might not be enough oil for them and for the foolish virgins? It’s because this is taking place at midnight, when darkness covers the earth and gross darkness the people (Isaiah 60:2). It was because the coming of the bridegroom to fetch his bride happens at the midnight hour…in the darkness of night. This is an allusion to the “Day of the LORD” and Jacob’s trouble. It is a time of clouds, darkness, and gloominess. The foolish virgins did not arise to return to the Torah. They lost their zeal for following after Yeshua and His Torah. Why was it that the foolish virgins were unprepared for Yeshua’s return? What caused the wise virgins to be prepared for Yeshua’s return? Yeshua’s return is associated with him coming for His bride and marrying His bride. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Matthew 25:6 Rosh Hashanah, or Yom Teruah, is known as the “Day of the Awakening Blast”. A teruah can be translated as a shout or a cry. This word “cry” is a code word and is revealing to us more about what is about to take place, as it is written in Isaiah 27:13: And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Matthew 24:45 Yeshua asked the question, “When I come, who is going to be found to be a faithful and wise servant?” Keeping the Torah is wise, it is wisdom as we can see in Psalm 19:7: The Torah of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. A wise servant follows the Torah. A faithful servant will be kings and priests with Yeshua when He returns and sets up His kingdom. He connects being a faithful and wise servant to the parable of the ten virgins. In the parable of the ten virgins, Yeshua is the bridegroom. In the parable we have ten virgins. Why ten? Ten represents a legal congregation or all believers in Yeshua as the Messiah. Five represents the five books of Moses or the Torah. The wise virgins represent those following the Torah. In Ezekiel 37, we see a valley of scattered and dry bones. They represent the whole house of Israel. When Yeshua gathers and unites the 12 tribes of Israel, it is likened unto a resurrection from the dead. The prophecy is that there will be a reuniting of Northern kingdom and Southern kingdom upon the mountains of Israel (biblical Judea/Samaria): And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. Ezekiel 37: 22 The “sign” is seeing the glory of the God of Israel. All nations shall see it, and they will know that Yeshua is YHVH! And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles. In this study, we are going to get a “big picture” view of Matthew 24 and 25. Yeshua’s disciples ask him the following question: And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? Matthew 24:3 In answering this question, Yeshua gives many signs (in Matthew 24) and then He gives THE sign. We have seen a pattern. Yeshua proposes to His bride at Mt Sinai, she accepts the marriage proposal, she is unfaithful to Him (the golden calf incident), but then because Yeshua has such a strong and deep love for her, He lays down his life for her. There was a marriage that took place at Mt Sinai. In this session, we learn about the details of this marriage betrothal that took place at Mt Sinai. Yeshua was the bridegroom, and he gave his Torah (the Ketubah) to his bride, the house of Jacob. The Torah is part of the marriage covenant proposal. She said “yes” to the marriage proposal: And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the LORD commanded him. And all the people answered together, and said, All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD. Exodus 19:7-8 The Torah is the inheritance of the bride (Deut 33:4). The land of Israel is also an inheritance of the bride (Deut 31:7). The bride was unfaithful to Yeshua, her bridegroom and her marital unfaithfulness was a departing from keeping and following the Torah. In the restoration of the relationship between Yeshua and His bride, there is going to have to be a separation of the bride from the other gods that she went after. She is going to have to repent, leave Egypt/Babylon. When we depart from Torah, we will come under oppression and bondage. In the last two sessions, we looked at the purpose of creation and we looked at the deeper meaning of the marriage between Adam and Eve. In this session, we are going to see that Abraham represents the calling that Yeshua has on His bride to leave the world and to follow the voice and the leading of Yeshua, her bridegroom. Abraham was “called out” as part of the bride of Yeshua in Genesis 12:1: “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get you out of thy country, and from your kindred, and from your father's house, unto a land that I will show thee…” The bride is asked to leave the place of the “known”, the “familiar” and the “comfortable” and go to the “unknown”, the “unfamiliar” and the “uncomfortable”. In the garden of Eden, there was a marriage that took place between Adam and Eve. This marriage was a prophetic picture of the marriage between Yeshua and his bride. We can compare Genesis 2:21-22 what Paul describes to us in Ephesians 5:22-27. In Ephesians 5:30-31, Paul is speaking to us at the “sod” level when he states: For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh. This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. In the marriage between Adam and Eve, sin enters the picture when they eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and they are banished from the garden: So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. Genesis 3:24 In Hebrew, “drove out” is “garish” and it means: to drive out, expel, cast out, drive away, to divorce. This is a prophesy. Even as Adam and Eve are “divorced”

The story of the bible largely surrounds Yeshua’s desire to have a bride that He can live and dwell with forever. To have this bride, He is going to enter into marriage covenant relationship with her. She will ultimately break the marriage covenant with him. However, his love for his bride is so great that He will lay down His life as a kinsman redeemer in order to redeem His bride. He wants to see restoration of this marriage relationship. In doing so, Yeshua established a new covenant so that His Torah could be written upon her heart through the power and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. In order for the relationship to be restored, she needs to have a change of heart. When she repents of her sins, she must accept Yeshua as her Messiah and make Him LORD of her life. As she lives a resurrected life in Him she can produce the fruit of the Spirit. In doing so, she will be able to live forever with Him in the New Jerusalem as His bride. The burnt offering was given with salt: For every one shall be salted with fire, and every sacrifice shall be salted with salt. Salt is good: but if the salt have lost his saltness, wherewith will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and have peace one with another. What is a salt covenant? What are things in the bible that are associated with salt and a salt covenant? We will see in this teaching that salt represents life. The body of Messiah is to be kings and priests in His kingdom. The Northern Kingdom was cut off from the covenant. Who is going to redeem the Northern Kingdom, the kingdom of the firstborn in the earth?
