  • HHMI - Melchizedek Priesthood ~ Pt 9 ~ Both Ephraim and Judah must be redeemed

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

The Melchizedek Priesthood is part of the government of the God of Israel. The Melchizedek priesthood includes the office of king, priest, and firstborn. The God of Israel has a kingdom and He has a government by which He rules and reigns. There is a test of faithfulness to see if you are going to rule and reign with Yeshua. The people that He will rule and reign over is the house of Jacob: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Luke 1:33 He also has a constitution which governs His kingdom and that the constitution is the Torah. If we are found faithful in the role of Melchizedek priest in our lives then we will receive inheritance, reward and we will rule and reign with Yeshua. If we are unfaithful then we will lose status and reward in His kingdom. In 1 Kings 12, we learn of the kingdom split of Israel. Rehoboam became king over the House of Judah (or the Southern kingdom), while Jeroboam became king for the House of Joseph/Ephraim (or the Northe

  • HHMI - Melchizedek Priesthood ~ Pt 8 ~ Melchizedek Offices split within Jacob’s family

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

What Jacob did, was he gave the office of kingship to the tribe of Judah, while Joseph was given the blessing of the firstborn. The Priesthood role transferred over from the firstborn to the Levites after the sin of the golden calf. As a result, the offices of the Melchizedek priesthood (king, priest, firstborn) were split within Jacob's family. Joseph being united with his brothers is a prophecy of the uniting of Northern Kingdom (Ephraim) with the Southern Kingdom (Judah) in the end of days. Judah and Joseph complete the first 24 elders of the world who sit around the throne of YHVH and worship Him. 1) Jacob had the position of a Melchizedek priest with the rights of firstborn and king / priest. 2) The functions of the Melchizedek priesthood was split between Judah, Joseph and Levi 3) Judah received the kingship role. 4) Joseph was given the birthright blessing and double portion when Jacob adopted his sons to become his firstborn sons (Ephraim and Manasseh). 5) Because of the sin of the golden calf, t

  • HHMI - Melchizedek Priesthood ~ Pt 7 ~ Joseph, as a Melchizedek Priest, Redeems His Family

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

Because Joseph was faithful in his office as Melchizedek priest, the Lord used him to redeem his entire family during the famine. Joseph suffered for righteousness sake and he was faithful in prison. When Joseph is later raised up by the hand of God to be Pharoah’s right hand, Joseph’s brothers come to Egypt to buy grain: And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Canaan. And Joseph was the governor over the land, and he it was that sold to all the people of the land: and Joseph's brethren came, and bowed down themselves before him with their faces to the earth. And Joseph saw his brethren, and he knew them, but made himself strange unto them, and spake roughly unto them; and he said unto them, Whence come ye? And they said, From the land of Canaan to buy food. And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him. Genesis 42:5-8 Joseph is a prophetic shadow of Yeshua the Messiah in performing the work of redemption during His first coming on behalf of Hi

  • HHMI - Melchizedek Priesthood ~ Pt 6 ~ Firstborn Blessing Goes to Joseph

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

Reuben was entitled to the position of king, priest and firstborn. He lost his place as a Melchizedek Priest because of sexual sin when he laid with his father’s concubine (Gen 35:22). The Melchizedek Priesthood role was taken away from him: Reuben, you are my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, you shall not excel; because you went up to thy father's bed; then you defiled it: he went up to my couch. Genesis 49: 3-4 We also see how Reuben failed in his responsibility as a Melchizedek priest where he conspires to throw his brother Joseph in a pit: Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams. And Reuben said unto them, Shed no blood, but cast him into this pit that is in the wilderness, and lay no hand upon him; that he might rid him out of their hands, to deliver him to his father again. • HHMI - Melchizedek Priesthood ~ Pt 5 ~ Abraham, a Faithful Melchizedek Priest

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

In this session, we will look at the life and ministry of Abraham as it relates to the role and function of the Melchizedek Priesthood. Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will show thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and you shall be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curses you: and in you shall all families of the earth be blessed. Gen 12:1-3 Abraham followed after the LORD, believing His promises. We are told in Genesis: And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness. Genesis 15:6 Abraham was faithful in following after the God of Israel. Because of His obedience and faithfulness, he is going to receive blessing, reward and inheritance from the God of Israel. Abraham was a faithful servant and son in the task that was assigned to him. Abraham functioned in the role of Melchizedek Priest

  • HHMI - Melchizedek Priesthood ~ Pt 4 ~ The "First" of the Firstborns

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

The rabbis teach that Adam was the world’s first Melchizedek priest. Adam was the world’s first firstborn. Adam was given the birthright. Adam was made king over God’s creation. Adam was king, priest and firstborn over God’s creation. Adam sinned in his wife’s sin, rather than lay down his life to restore her. Adam and Eve were then exiled/divorced from the Garden of Eden. Next we have Cain. Cain was also a firstborn. Cain and Abel were brothers and they both brought a Minchah offering to the God of Israel. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering. Gen 4:3-4 A minchah offering is a gift from the heart. We are to give our best from the heart. Cain brought a minchah offering from the fruit of the land. Abel brought a firstfruit offering from the firstlings of his flock. Abel’s minchah offering was a

  • HHMI - Melchizedek Priesthood ~ Pt 3 ~ Melchizedek Priesthood Lineage

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

In creating the heavens and the earth, there was a man who was created to be the steward over the earth, and that was Adam. Adam was the first Melchizedek priest of the Kingdom of God on the earth. Adam was under the authority of Yeshua, who was under the authority of the heavenly Father. Adam was called to rule and reign and to teach God’s kingdom on the earth. Because of his disobedience, Adam was exiled out of the garden. The next Melchizedek priest is the oldest, faithful firstborn son in the family line. Who was the next Melchizedek priest after Adam? That was Seth: he was the second Melchizedek Priest. Successive Melchizedek priests included: Enos, Cainan, Mahalaleel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech and then Noah. From Adam to Noah there are ten generations. From Noah to Abraham there are also ten generations. From Adam to Jacob are 22 generations, the same number of letters in the Hebrew alphabet. In this session, we also look in greater detail at the first Melchizedek priest, Adam, and the even

  • HHMI - Melchizedek Priesthood ~ Pt 2 ~ The Highest Form of Love

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

One of the responsibilities of a Melchizedek Priest is to teach the people in the kingdom the ways of the heavenly Father, which is His Torah. So everyone in His kingdom is to be taught the Torah and live the Torah. If there is anyone who departs from the Father’s “rules of the house”, then a faithful Melchizedek priest is going to lay down his life to bring restoration and reconciliation to the family. Yeshua said in John 10:11, 15: I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd gives his life for the sheep. As the Father knows me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. There is no greater love than to lay down your life for the benefit of another. Love is the highest form of following the Torah. The highest form of love is to lay down your life for another and bring them back to the Father’s rule, and reign and authority: This is my commandment, That you love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:12-

  • HHMI - Melchizedek Priesthood ~ Pt 1 ~ The Melchizedek Priesthood ~ The Government of God

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

What is the Melchizedek Priesthood? It is the office in the government of the God of Israel. Yeshua is the head of that government. As the head, Yeshua is a Melchizedek priest. When you are a Melchizedek priest, you are walking in the office of being a king, priest and firstborn. To run this kingdom, it needs a constitution or a rule of law. The constitution of this kingdom is the Torah, the written word of God. The Father, who is the king, gives the administration of this kingdom to his son, Yeshua, who is the Great High Melchizedek priest of the heavenly tabernacle. To have a kingdom you need a place to rule. That place is the entire universe, and the earth is His footstool. The “capitol” from where Yeshua will one day rule and reign from is Mount Zion or Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:1-3). To have a kingdom you need a people that you are going to govern. That people are known as “the house of Jacob” (Luke 1:33), or the nation of Israel (Hosea 1:10-11). The authority element of this kingdom is the Melchizedek Pries

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 15 ~ Walking in the Faith of Abraham

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

We are to live holy and set apart lives unto Yeshua. Paul taught this in 1 Thessalonians 4:1-2: Furthermore then we beseech you, brethren, and exhort you by the Lord Yeshua, that as you have received of us how you ought to walk and to please God, so you would abound more and more. For you know what commandments we gave you by the Lord Yeshua. Faith comes by hearing and then obeying the word of God: So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 Paul also wrote this about faith: For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Cor 5:7 Walking by sight is walking according to our five physical senses and it is based on the logic of our carnal mind. Walking by sight is walking according to what our flesh wants to do. We are NOT to walk this way. Instead we are to walk in faith, and be faithful to the God of Israel. This gets built up in us by studying the Torah. We are told that Abraham walked in faith: Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness. Know yo

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 14 ~ Counting all things as loss….that I might “know” Him!

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

Once we have received Yeshua as our Messiah, we are to walk as He walked. As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him. Colossians 2:6 Paul reveals his heart and his passion to us in Philippians 3:8-10: “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Messiah Yeshua my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Messiah, And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the Torah, but that which is through the faith of Messiah, the righteousness which is of God by faith. That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” Paul is already saved by grace and has Yeshua’s imputed righteousness on him. Why is Paul praying that he might “know” him? He is praying that he would follow after Messiah in complete and total dedication and identification in him, following in the footsteps of Yeshua. Thi

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 13 ~ Untangling the "Age of Law/Age of Grace" Tangled Knot

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

When Yeshua died on the tree, did he nail the Torah to the cross? The doctrine is as follows: that before Yeshua died on the tree, we were in the Age of Law, but after Yeshua died on the tree, we are now in the Age of Grace. This doctrine is also called “Dispensationalism”. However, this doctrine is the heart of “Replacement Theology”, the belief that the church has replaced Israel and that the Age of Grace supercedes (or does away with) the Age of Law. This doctrine says that because we are now living in the Age of Grace, believers in Yeshua as Messiah are not obligated to follow the “Law” (or the Torah). This goes back to the basic understanding of what sin is. Here is the bible definition for sin: Whosoever commits sin transgresses also the Torah: for sin is the transgression of the Torah. 1 John 3:4 So, sin IS transgression of the Torah. If we repent of our sin, then we are to start following and obeying the Torah! Torah includes all of the bible, from Genesis to Revelation. Paul also wrote: For unt

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 12 ~ I will call them “my people” who were not my people

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

In Romans, Paul is writing to the Northern Kingdom who had assimilated among the peoples. Ultimately, Paul’s teachings are going out to all Nations, peoples and tongues: Even us whom He called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? Romans 9:24 Paul goes on to quote from Hosea, a book that was written to the Northern kingdom, stating the following: “I will call them My people, who were not My people, And her beloved, who was not beloved. “And it shall come to pass in the place where it was said to them, ‘You are not My people,’There they shall be called sons of the living God. Romans 9:25-26 Paul is addressing and speaking about prophesies to the Northern Kingdom. Here is the prophecy from Deuteronomy 32:21: They have provoked Me to jealousy by what is not God; They have moved Me to anger by their foolish idols. But I will provoke them to jealousy by those who are not a nation; I will move them to anger by a foolish nation. Who are the people who were “not a people” but who became a people? That

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 11 ~ Who are the exiles of Israel?

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

What we are going to see that Paul saw himself as an ambassador to go out into the nations to share of the redemptive work of Messiah Yeshua. He focused on reaching the non-Jews of the Northern kingdom (called the House of Joseph or Ephraim) to share Messiah with them and to bring them back to the written Torah of Yeshua. Because the Northern kingdom had been assimilated into the non Jewish culture for 700 years, it required that Paul bring the gospel to all peoples, nations, tribes and tongues. Who are the exiles of Israel? We look at the biblical definition of this term from Daniel 9:7: O Lord, righteousness belongs unto you, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against you. “Near” is a reference to the Southern kingdom or Judah. “Far” is a reference to the Northern kingdo

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 10 ~ Blotting out the “man-made decrees” that were against us

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Colossians 2:4, 8 The bible is not a tradition of man. The bible is the written Word of God. This is contrast certain people who were coming into the assemblies and who were teaching man’s philosophies and man’s traditions, not after the Messiah. Colossians goes on to say: Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross…. Colossians 2:14 This has been interpreted that Paul was teaching that the Torah was blotted out. No. What has been blotted out are “ordinances”, which, in the Greek, is “dogma”, and it means: man-made traditions, decrees and philosophies which are in conflict with faith in Messiah and His written Torah. • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 9 ~ Circumcision of the Heart by the Spirit

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

In Romans 2, Paul is comparing non Jews who are not physically circumcised but who follow the Torah in their heart showing that they have circumcised heart v/s a Jew who is physically circumcised but in his lifestyle is not following the Torah thus showing that he is uncircumcised in the heart. For not the hearers of the Torah are just before God, but the doers of the Torah shall be justified. For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which show the work of the Torah written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another…Romans 2:13-15 Paul is making the argument that he is a Jew inwardly who is circumcised in heart and who follows the Torah in the spirit: For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh. But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 8 ~ Circumcision of the heart v/s Circumcision of the flesh

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

What is circumcision? It is a code word. The question being discussed and debated (in Acts 15) was this: how to accept and receive into the family of God the non-Jews that were coming to faith in Messiah. The Pharisees wanted them to go through the conversion process to Judaism and the last step in that conversion process is to get circumcised. How do we see this connection? So, being circumcised and following the Torah (as taught and interpreted by the Rabbis = being converted to Judaism. Paul was adamantly opposed to this. Why? Paul wanted to see the new believers in Yeshua follow the written Torah of Yeshua, not the Oral Torah of the Rabbis. The conflict between Paul and the Pharisees came up around the issue of circumcision. Paul advocated that the weightier matter was that the new believers in Yeshua had a circumcised heart and the Torah was now being written upon their heart. The Pharisees wanted to see them convert to Judaism, and as a final step in that process, be circumcised in the flesh. The To

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 7 ~ What Does the Torah Teach about How we become Righteous?

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved. For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. Romans 10:1-3 Their zeal for the Torah comes through what they are taught through Judaism. They were trying to establish their own righteousness through works and through following man made decrees and doctrines from the Talmud rather than submit to the righteousness of God. Mainstream Christianity interprets verse 3 that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ and that trying to establish your own righteousness is seeking to follow the Torah, therefore we should not follow the Torah. That is NOT what this verse is saying. The Torah teaches that we have no righteousness on our own merit. The Torah and the Prophets teaches us that our righteousness comes by grace through

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 1 ~ Background and Life of Paul

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

In this teaching series, we will be learning about the Apostle Paul: his life, his ministry, his teachings and his letters. In looking at his letters, we are going to see what he taught about Yeshua and what he taught about the Hebrew scriptures, (or the Torah). In Paul’s teaching and writings, we want see if he taught for or against the Torah. In this session, we will look at the background of Paul himself. Paul was born a Jew from the tribe of Benjamin. He studied the Pharisaic perspective of Torah in Jerusalem from his teacher Gamaliel who was the grandson of Hillel. The school of Hillel was one of the primary sects of the Pharisees. Paul was taught from the Pharisees that the proper way to follow the Torah was to follow the decrees and rulings of the rabbis. The rabbinical decrees and rulings are called the 'oral torah' or the 'tradition of the elders.' The rabbis put following the 'oral law' above the written torah. Initially, Paul persecuted believers in Yeshua who he viewed as heretics of the Torah.

  • HHMI - Paul's Life and Letters ~ Pt 6 ~ Gifts of the Holy Spirit

    31/01/2019 Duración: 25min

We are given the indwelling Holy Spirit and we are given gifts of the Holy Spirit in order to help us to live a Torah-based lifestyle. What are these gifts of the Holy Spirit? (Ephesians 4:7-8). One of the gifts is righteousness as we are told in Romans 5:17: For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ. We are also given the gift of grace: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Yeshua HaMashiach, has abounded unto many. Romans 5:12, 15 We are given the gift of faith: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 Paul
