Years ago, my husband and I wanted to purchase multiple investment properties at the same time.The first purchase went through relatively easily, but the subsequent loans were more tough. The underwriters kept coming back with additional unexpected requirements that we we were not prepared to meet. Eventually their requests (such as proving we had larger balances in the bank than they originally required, "seasoned") became impossible, and the deals were slipping away. Until I had an idea... Leslie was invited to speak at an LDS Homeschooler's Conference hosted by Celestia Shumway (https://treeoflifemothering.com), attended by mothers who wanted to stay at home to raise their children but who sometimes struggled to make ends meet financially. In this program, Leslie shares more candidly her own struggle to be a stay at home mom and to overcome her money hangups. She discusses the concern that 'money corrupts' and how we therefore sometimes block the ideas that could release us from financial bondage. She describes the process for finding ways to accomplish the goal, even when it seems impossible. (The audio system was not perfect - the auditorium was large and had an echo, but the message is still powerful.)
