"We had a need and God had a solution in Christ Jesus"   "We are all under the power of sin" "We have all turned away" " Every part of our body is guilty of sin"  "We are freed from the slavery of sin with the redemption price of the blood of Christ"

Refusal to Repent requires Righteous Judgment    God is being patient and kind. His kindness is what means to lead to repentance –to lead you to him. He is not going to force himself on you. His spirit will draw you to him leading you to repentance   They mistook his patience for his absence. If I judged me by not he aint going to judge me  But they were being stubborn (    But because you are stubborn and refuse to turn from your sin, you are storing up terrible punishment for yourself.    What does it mean to store up something? You stack it up. So those who don't repent and turn are stacking up a storage unit of wrath.    For a day of anger is coming when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed. He will judge everyone according to what they have done.  Eternal Life vs Wrath He will give eternal life to those who keep on doing good (not good for salvation but good out of your salvation. Those who trust in the Lord will do good.) seeking after the glory and honor and immortality (eternity) that God o

God is angry because we are suppressing HIS truth. God shows his anger at Wicked people who know about God but suppress the truth  Once a man rejects the truth of God in Jesus, he will fall for anything foolish So basically God is like you want to do what you want to do, so he closes up his Mercy and opens up his Wrath. It is the consequence of living apart from him God Abandons those who do vile and degrading things, follow heart desires, homosexual Paul lived in a culture like ours that was accepting the shameful vile and degrading lifestyle as the norm.  They trade the truth for the lie. WHo is the Liar? The enemy.    God abandoned to foolish thinking and foolish behaviors  The freedom to continue in the sin is  the judgment A culture without Jesus is death because he is the way the truth and the life. Apart from him, there is no life. Wrath is righteous and necessary  That's why we needed a savior when God sees Jesus in the US he doesn't see his Wrath Christ took upon the Wrath that we deserved on

The Son was Gone..The Death, Burial and Resurrection     “By this time it was about noon, and darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock. The light from the sun was gone. And suddenly, the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn down the middle. Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words, he breathed his last.    The light was gone from the sun, Nature and Creation mourned This shows us that Jesus is the true light and the Son of Man.  Darkness preceded his death showing us that without Jesus there would be no light The torn curtain shows allow us access to the throne room of God. Only the Holy Priest could enter once a year to atone for the sins of the people at the death of Christ the barrier was split so Christ gave us access to Jesus Jesus had trusted God’s plan for us and now he released his spirit into the hands of His Father and breathed his last breath   How is this significant to us? Without Jesus, there is a darkness that

Jesus demonstrates the power in His Identity... I AM HE  Jesus is Betrayed...   Jesus had just finished praying for all believers Pause .. when we are praying and covering trust that the enemy is going to come seeking to kill and destroy that which you just covered. Jesus was praying for us before he was about to die.  He was with his disciples across the Kidron Valley in the garden.  The brook would have been reddish from the blood of the Passover lamb right before he would become our lamb of God shedding his blood that still flows today.  Judas the betrayer knew the location because Jesus often met with his disciples there  So Judas brings his mob squad to the garden  (around about 200men)  Jesus knew everything that was getting ready to happen Jesus knew everything that was going to go down and he didn’t run and escape he stayed and let the plan unfold. The plan that benefits us right now.  I am the man you are looking for  He stepped to them and asked Who is it that you are looking for? Jesu

YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN --Jesus  Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jew. Pharisee comes to Jesus at night.  He told Jesus he knew he was sent from God because no one else could perform the signs he did unless God was with him  Jesus responded by telling him unless you are born again you will never enter the Kingdom of God  Two types of Birth  Physical/Spiritual  One comes from the flesh. Your mother’s body  One comes from the Spirit. From the Holy Spirit The wind blows and you hear, but you don’t know where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with the Spirit. We don’t know who he will give his spirit to next because the heart work is inside. We only see the evidence of the fruit on the outside I’m telling you what I know  Jesus said he was telling what he knew, what he has seen, yet you still won't believe and accept my testimony He had the testimony out of Jesus' mouth. And still wouldn't believe I have told you about earthly things you don't believe so how can you believe things about heaven?

Jesus came to fulfill not abolish the law...That would be through His perfect obedience    Christ wants us to be obedient to the law for sanctification, not salvation No condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus How to walk  Destination: Point your life in the direction of God’s will  Dependence: All your weight walking one foot in front of the other. Dependent on God's power Dedication-keep stepping, calling on God to help you. When starting to walk as a baby. You will waddle, fall, pull yourself up on something, and try it again. Until one day you are running.  Your faith walk is the same. You will be tempted to waddle and fall back into your old patterns of life. But you will reach out your hand for the Father and he will pull you up because one day at the end you will be running full speed into the arms of Jesus.

Jesus has the authority to heal physically and spiritually     The faith of your friends matters..Some men brought to him Jesus saw their faith   Who are your faith friends?   There was a physical healing and a spiritual healing “Take heart, son; your sins are forgiven.” Before Jesus healed the man physically he healed him spiritually  Sometimes our spiritual states affects our physical/emotional state.    The teachers of the law said to themselves so they didn’t say it out loud. And Jesus who knows our thoughts asked them  “Why do you entertain evil thoughts in your hearts?    What does your thought life look like? Jesus has the authority to forgive sins  But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” Healing fills people with awe and praise  When the crowd saw this, they were filled with awe; and they praised God, who had given such authority to man. Where do you need to seek healing emotionally, spiritually, and physically? Jesus has the authority to hea

The King was born.      We see the fulfillment of the things we have been reading for the past two weeks. That the Messiah was coming. We have this access to Him that is eternal. But I want to look at the Shepherds They were watching. We need to watching the world around us. Being woke. Keeping our flock covered. Seeking God’s Word for the good news Daily. Praise should be our weapon in these times.  The Shepherds heard the word and then they sought out to see truth for themselves.  We may receive the Word from many different sources with today’s access but make sure that go to seek out the Truth for yourself (Acts 17:11) And then they spread the good news. We need to spread this good news. The next announcement of the angels will be with the coming of the king  When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He

Look and Rejoice the King is Coming.... Jer 23:1-6 Sorrow for the Shepherds The Shepherds had destroyed and scattered the one they were to care for. Instead of caring for God’s flock and leading them to safety they had deserted and driven them to destruction so now the Lord was going to pour out judgment on the shepherd for the evil they had done. We are accountable to the people, things and resources that the Lord has put in our influence and we are to shepherd them well. Remembering the Remnant  I will bring them back into their own..sheepfold.  They will be fruitful and increase in number  I will appoint responsible shepherds who will care for them and they will never be afraid again. No one will be lost or missing  God had exiled and scattered them because they were disobedient. But he promised to bring them back and he would and they will be blessed and fruitful. They would no longer be under ungodly leadership. God would put them under Godly leaders.   Raising a Righteous King The Lord s

God continues to show his mercy and desire for obedience   God showed his mercy  In Egypt  In the wilderness With the next generation  They still disobeyed so he gave his consequence --that would not lead to life. They would pollute themselves and sacrifice their children so that they might be devasted and be reminded that he alone is the Lord. God desired obedience. He said that obedience would have given them life.  They kept reattaching themselves to idols. Who or what are you attaching yourself to?

Samuels sons didn't follow his ways. They accepted bribes and perverted justice while they were serving at Beersheba. So the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel asking for a king because of three reasons. Samuel was geting old. His sons don’t follow his ways. And they wanted a king because the other nations had one.  Asking for a king displeased Samuel and he prayed and the Lord answered. It's not you that they are rejecting it's me that they are rejecting as their king. They have been doing this since I brought them from Egypt. They forsaked him and served other gods.  Listen to them and warn them  The king would reign over them and will claim as his rights.  Samuel tells the people the words of the Lord.  What the king will claim as his rights.. HE WILL TAKE  He will take your sons and make them serve with his chariots and horses, and they will run in front of his chariots.  He will be assigned to be commander of thousands and commanders of fifties Plow his ground and r

Generational faith or Generational death  The generations had died now this generation didn’t know the Lord or what he had done for Israel.   It seems like in the past couple of readings we have seen a theme of not following idols and teaching your children. Here we see that they failed to teach their children so their faith wasn’t passed on. If we don’t teach our children how will they have an impact on society? We need to take this very seriously. We can’t wait for the school system the church, sunday school or youth groups  to teach our children.   Moses told them they needed to tell the children. They didn't even know the deliverance of Eygpt/slavery  Romans 10:14 How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? How do we expect our children to call on him? If they don’t see us call on him  How do we expect them to hear about Him? If we not talk or expose them to the gospel truth? One day we will be

This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.   PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP/RESPONSIBITILY  The Lord already sanctified the Isrealites now he is asking

Sin requires sacrifice no matter if it is intentional or unintentional    If someone commits an unintentional sin that defiles the Lord’s scared property or his holy things  This could have been the first fruit, first son, the tithes, or a vowed offering  If they failed then they had to make atonement  The sin offering was not enough  They had to bring a guilt offering  Ram no defects or buy one of equal value with silver. There had to be restitution -paying back what was lost and adding 20% to that The offering had to cost them something maybe so they could remember to not do it again.  When we sin, It has already cost our Lord Jesus his life.  2 Cor 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.    There had to be a priest and a sacrifice   They would give the offering to the priest and he would sacrifice the ram and they would be made right and be forgiven.    Blood had to be shed to be forgiven. But the blood of any animal could not s
