One of the most common prayers we as believers pray is that God’s will be done. Whether it be in a situation, such as praying for the salvation of a loved one, or something less significant as buying a new house or taking a new job, in both instances we pray and ask God, your will be done. While there is not necessarily anything wrong with speaking to God and telling Him that we want to see His will be done, I believe that sometimes that conversation ends where it should just be getting started. Not even just a friend of sinners but also stating that He spent the majority of His time hanging out with sinners. There is even a popular song that has been playing on Christian radio for quite a while now with this exact title. It might be true that Jesus spent a lot of time around sinners, but the reason why seems to be getting lost in translation.
