  • HHMI ~ Yom Kippur ~ Priestly Service ~ Pt 4 ~ Our Great High Priest and Intercessor

    28/11/2017 Duración: 25min

In this series, we will be examining the Yom Kippur service that is described in Leviticus 16 and the priestly service of Yom Kippur. In traditional Judaism, the Torah portion reading for Yom Kippur in the morning service is Leviticus 16. This is what we will look at in detail in this session. The afternoon Yom Kippur service, the reading comes from Leviticus 18. The Haftorah portion is reading the book of Jonah. The reason Jonah is read is because this book deals with the subject of repentance and how an entire city repented before Yahweh, thus averting Yahweh’s judgment. Repentance is a major theme of Yom Kippur. The earthly tabernacle that Yahweh gave instructions to Moses to build, is a type and shadow, a “copy” of the true heavenly tabernacle. Yeshua is the High Priest of the Renewed covenant and He superintends this renewed covenant through the Melchezedik Priesthood. Yeshua is our Great High Priest and lives to ever intercede for us: By so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant. T

  • HHMI ~ The Themes of Yom Kippur ~ Pt 3 ~ Receiving and Extending Forgiveness

    16/11/2017 Duración: 25min

Yom Kippur is the most holy day of the year because the entire day is spent fasting, praying and repenting of our sins. We can repent out of love for the God of Israel because we don’t want to hurt his heart. We can repent out of the fear or reverence for the God of Israel because we don’t want to face the consequences. And, we can repent to the God of Israel because we don’t want to through the pain and suffering that the consequences of sin brings into our lives. The Rabbis teach that Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement only reconciles man unto to the God of Israel, but that it does not deal with sin between the brethren. Yeshua taught that before we approach the God of Israel, that we need to be reconciled to our brother. Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift. Matthew 5:23-24 We are to forgive one another as our

  • HHMI ~ The Themes of Yom Kippur ~ Pt 2 ~ Repenting of National Sins and the Sins of our Forefathers

    16/11/2017 Duración: 25min

The Torah teaches us that we must confess our sins AND the sins of our forefathers. We tend to focus only on our own personal sin. However, the sins of our forefathers DO impact us and affect us. There is personal sin and there is “national” sin; that is, sins of the nation of the people who follow the God of Israel. If they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, with their trespass which they trespassed against me, and that also they have walked contrary unto me; nd that I also have walked contrary unto them, and have brought them into the land of their enemies; if then their uncircumcised hearts be humbled, and they then accept of the punishment of their iniquity: Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. Leviticus 26: 40-42 Nehemiah understood this principle of confessing of the sins of your people and of your forefathers. Read Nehemiah 1: 5-7 And said, I beseech

  • HHMI ~ The Themes of Yom Kippur ~ Pt 1 ~ Though Sins be as Scarlet They Shall be White as Snow

    16/11/2017 Duración: 25min

The major themes associated with Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement are: *It is known as the Day of Atonement ~ This is the Day that the God of Israel would forgive the sins of His people in a national way. *It is known as “Face to Face” ~ This is an idiomatic expression for being in His presence *It is “The Day” and is recognized as the Holiest Day in the year. *It is known as “The Fast” ~ a day that we afflict our souls. *It is known as “The Great Shofar” *It is known as “Neilah” ~ The closing of the gates of heaven Yom Kippur is the Day when white garments were worn by the High Priests. What is the deeper spiritual meaning? White garments are associated with purity, holiness, and with our sins being forgiven. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18 The bride of Messiah is an overcomer whose sins are forgiven, whose heart is pure, and who has righteous deeds. For mor

  • HHMI ~ The Themes of the Feast of Trumpets ~ Pt 6 ~ Shofar Awakens our Yearning for the Ingathering

    15/11/2017 Duración: 25min

We are on a spiritual journey. We turn our back upon Babylon, Egypt and the world, and we are journeying to the Promised land, to Mt Zion, where Yeshua will rule and reign for 1,000 years. Our journey begins with Passover as we leave Egypt, Babylon and the world system. We apply the blood of Yeshua upon the doorposts of our heart, we experience Passover Feast, and we come into salvation by faith through grace. Next in our spiritual journey, we go to Mt Sinai and experience Shavuot, the giving of the Torah, where the God of Israel makes a wedding proposal to us, and the Ketubah is the Torah. As we continue the spiritual journey, we come Feast of Trumpets, also known as “The Day of the Awakening Blast” and the sound of the shofar awakens those who are in spiritual slumber, it awakens the dead to resurrection and this awakening blast speaks to the hearts of the exiles of Israel that it is now time to be regathered and begin a journey HOME to the land of Israel. The sound of the shofar then, causes us to YEARN

  • HHMI ~ The Themes of the Feast of Trumpets ~ Pt 5 ~ The Binding of Isaac ~ A Whole Burnt Offering

    15/11/2017 Duración: 25min

From the Jewish Artscroll Rosh Hashanah Ashkenaz, (a Jewish prayer book) we learn about 10 reasons for the sounding of the shofar. Here are those reasons for blowing the shofar: *The shofar is blown to make a proclamation and declaration that the God of Israel is King over the whole earth. *It is a warning to repent before the God of Israel. *It is to remind us to follow the Torah of the God of Israel. *So that we would hear the word and the message of the prophets of the God of Israel. *So that we would pray for the rebuilding of the Temple. *To remember the binding of Isaac upon the altar, who offered his life to the God of Israel. and to remind us to offer our life as a whole burnt offering unto the God of Israel. *To remind us to have fear and reverence for the God of Israel. This is expressed by keeping His commands. When we hear the sound of the shofar, it causes us to shake, to fear and to tremble, and to humble ourselves before the God of Israel. *To remember the Day of Judgment is coming upon us. *To

  • HHMI ~ The Themes of the Feast of Trumpets ~ Pt 4 ~ The Day of the Awakening Blast

    15/11/2017 Duración: 25min

Yom Teruah is known as the Day of the Awakening blast. What is the purpose of this “Awakening blast”, the blowing of the shofar? To awaken people from their spiritual slumber. To warn them to repent, as we are in the season of judgment. The sounding of the shofar is meant to arouse those who have fallen asleep spiritually. Now let’s look at examples of the blowing of the shofar in the scriptures. *The Torah was given with the sound of the shofar. (Exodus 19:19). *Israel conquered Jericho with the blast of the shofar. (Joshua 6:20) *Israel will be alerted to the coming of Messiah with the sound of the shofar. (Zech 9:14,16) *The shofar will be blown at the time of the ingathering of the exiles of Israel. (Is. 27:13) *The shofar was blown to assemble the Israelites for war. (Judges 3:27, 2 Sam 20:1) *The watchmen who stood upon Jerusalem’s walls blew the shofar to give warning to the people of the God of Israel. (Ezekiel 33:3-6) *The shofar was blown at the start of the Jubilee year. (Lev 25:9) *The shofar i

  • HHMI ~ The Themes of the Feast of Trumpets ~ Pt 3 ~ Days of Awe and Coronation Day

    15/11/2017 Duración: 25min

From Rosh Hashanah (also known as Feast of Trumpets) to Yom Kippur, this time frame is known as the Days of Awe (Yamim Nora'im). What is the spiritual application and meaning of the Days of Awe? In this teaching, we will examine this. With the Days of Awe, we have two significant spiritual applications. The first is personal, and the second is prophetic. It is a reminder that Yom Kippur is fast approaching. On Yom Kippur, atonement will be made for each individual person. The rabbis teach that during the Days of Awe, the gates of heaven are open to receive the prayers of those who repent. In the final service of Yom Kippur, the gates of heaven are seen as being closed. The Days of Awe are a prophetic foreshadow of the tribulation period. The feasts are rehearsals but one day, Yeshua will return and it will not be a rehearsal! The prophetic application of the Days of Awe is this: they are associated with the time known as “Jacob’s trouble” or the “great tribulation”. The Days of awe are associated with

  • HHMI ~ The Themes of the Feast of Trumpets ~ Pt 2 ~ What is True Repentance?

    15/11/2017 Duración: 25min

In this session, we continue our focus on repentance. What is true repentance? We will look at that in greater detail. The bible teaches us that there are three levels of sin: Transgression, sin, and iniquity. In this teaching, we will define those terms. It is the shedding of blood that atones for our sins. Yeshua died on the tree and shed his blood so that we could be forgiven of our sins. He made a new covenant with the house of Judah and the house of Israel: But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:33 There are three steps to genuine repentance. They are: *confession of sin *godly sorrow and remorse for the sin *taking corrective action/change in behavior The season of teshuva (repentance) is associated with the blowing of the shofar to prepare our hearts and to warn us that the judgment day of the G

  • HHMI ~ The Themes of the Feast of Trumpets ~ Pt 1 ~ Repent and Awaken from Spiritual Slumber!

  • HHMI ~ Feast of Trumpets ~ A Biblical Wedding ~ Pt 3 ~ 12 Steps of Ancient Israeli Wedding

    15/11/2017 Duración: 25min

There are three trumpets that are associated with Yahweh’s redemption plan as it unfolds. They are: the first trump, the last trump, and the great trump. The first trump sounded at the giving of the Torah at Mt Sinai. And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled. Exodus 19:16 These trumpet blasts will herald significant events in the history of God’s redemption plan. The first trump is associated with Shavuot. The last trump is blown at the resurrection of the dead (1 Cor 15: 53-54) and is associated with Yom Teruah/Feast of Trumpets. The “great trump” is sounded at Yom Kippur/Day of Atonement. In this session, Eddie covers the 12 steps of an ancient Israeli wedding. This ancient wedding ceremony will teach us about OUR wedding to Yeshua. • HHMI ~ Feast of Trumpets ~ A Biblical Wedding ~ Pt 2 ~ "Last Trump" and Resurrection of the Dead

    15/11/2017 Duración: 25min

Feast of Trumpets is also known as “Rosh Hashanah”, the “head” of the year. The rabbis teach that this is when the world was created. The rabbis also teach that the binding of Isaac to the altar took place at Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets. The rabbis teach that the two horns of the ram have special significance: And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son. Genesis 22:13 The right horn of the ram represents the “first trump” that was blown in Exodus 19 at the giving of the Torah at Mt Sinai. The left horn of the ram represents the “last trump”. This is why, in traditional Judaism, on the second day of Rosh Hashanah/Feast of Trumpets, Genesis 22 is read. Feast of Trumpets is associated with the “last trump” and with the resurrection of the dead: In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead

  • HHMI ~ Feast of Trumpets ~ A Biblical Wedding ~ Pt 1 ~ Betrothal at Mt Sinai

    15/11/2017 Duración: 25min

We saw that one of the themes of Shavuot was that it was a wedding. There was a wedding at Mt Sinai between Yeshua and the House of Jacob and they became betrothed. Shavuot is connected to Feast of Trumpets because one of the themes of Trumpets is the resurrection of the dead. Ultimately, Yeshua and His bride are going to return to the earth and rule and reign during the Messianic era. There are two primary stages to a biblical marriage. Stage one is betrothal,(kiddushin) and you are legally married, but do not yet “dwell with”. Stage two is married, and you physically “dwell with” (nisuin). So the betrothal is connected with Mt Sinai, but the completion of the marriage is associated with Mt Zion. The ketubah is the Torah. There are blessings for obedience to the marriage vows) and curses for disobedience to the vows (Deut. 28, Leviticus 26). In this teaching, we will link together the themes of: the wedding, the last trump and the resurrection of the dead. For more Eddie Chumney teachings and beautiful

  • HHMI ~ Feast of Shavuot ~ A Change of Heart ~ Pt 3 ~ A Heart of Flesh

    14/11/2017 Duración: 25min

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. nd I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. Ezekiel 36: 26-27 The Holy Spirit points us to following Torah. What is the difference between the original covenant given at Mt Sinai and the renewed covenant? The original covenant the Torah was written upon stony hearts. The renewed covenant the Torah is written upon hearts of flesh. Eddie then walks us through the parable of the sower and compares this parable to how the covenant/Torah at Mt Sinai was initially received but then later, when affliction and trouble came, there was murmuring in the camp. And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness; and have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction

  • HHMI ~ Feast of Shavuot ~ A Change of Heart ~ Pt 2 ~ The Torah Test for the Adulterous Wife

    14/11/2017 Duración: 25min

We continue to look at what the Torah teaches about what happens to a woman who is suspected of adultery (from Numbers 5:11-31). As you read the passage, remember that at the deeper sod level, this passage is also talking about the God of Israel as husband, and his adulterous wife, the house of Jacob. In Numbers 5, we see these major figures: *The wife suspected of adultery is a picture of the House of Jacob who entered into a marriage covenant with Yeshua at Mt Sinai. *The priest is a picture of Moses. *The husband is a shadow picture of the bridegroom, Yeshua. He loves her with an all consuming fire. When He finds that she has already committed adultery against him with the golden calf, a spirit of jealousy comes upon him, and he puts his people through the “Torah test” for the adulterous woman (Numbers 5:11-31) and hence, Moses has the people drink the water with the ground up gold dust from the golden calf. This parallels what is described in Numbers 5, where the woman suspected of committing adulter

  • HHMI ~ Feast of Shavuot ~ A Change of Heart ~ Pt 1 ~ The Torah of Jealousy

    14/11/2017 Duración: 25min

In this teaching series we will learn: *The rabbis teach that the God of Israel married the house of Jacob at Mt Sinai. *The rabbis teach that the house of Jacob is like an adulterous wife unto the God of Israel. *The church was actually born at Mt Sinai and then “REBORN” in Acts 2. *We will learn about the original covenant that was given at Mt Sinai and the renewed covenant that is associated to the House of Jacob and Mt Zion. *We will learn what a stony heart is and we will study the parable of the sower. *Shavuot is associated with the renewed covenant and having a change of heart. The rabbis understand that there is a marriage relationship between the God of Israel and His people, the house of Jacob. In this session, we will look at what the Torah teaches about what happens to a woman who is suspected of adultery (from Numbers 5:11-31). • HHMI ~ Feast of Shavuot ~ Marriage at Mt Sinai ~ Pt 3 ~ Yeshua Died the Death of an Adulterous Woman

    14/11/2017 Duración: 25min

Torah tells us what the curses are for an adulterous woman: *she will drink bitter water *she will be slain with the sword *her curses are written in a book and blotted out *she is forsaken by her husband *her husband hides His face from her *she is slain with thirst *she is stripped naked *she is laughed in scorn *she is mocked for her whoredom *her enemies cast lots for her Yeshua takes upon Himself all the curses that were due to his adulterous bride. He dies the death of an adulterous woman. How is it that Yeshua dies the penalty death of an adulterous woman? Because He is married to the House of Jacob. They are ONE. Their lives are intertwined, when they hurt, you hurt. When they rejoice, you rejoice. So He suffered for his bride and took the curses that were due to her upon Himself. Because he loved her so much, He lays down his life for her, so she can have a renewed covenant marriage with him. • HHMI ~ Feast of Shavuot ~ Marriage at Mt Sinai ~ Pt 2 ~ It All Started in the Garden

    14/11/2017 Duración: 25min

There are two stages to a biblical marriage. The first stage is betrothal. You are legally married but you do not “dwell with”. This is what happened at Mt Sinai. There was a betrothal made at Mt Sinai but Messiah was not yet physically dwelling with…yet. He will physically dwell with his people during the Messianic era when He rules and reigns from Jerusalem. Adam and Eve are a foreshadow of the marriage between Yeshua and His bride, Israel. Adam can be seen as a foreshadow of Yeshua who deeply loves His bride and lays down His life for her: And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. nd Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Genesis 2: 21-23 Adam and Eve were driven out of the garden of Eden because they disobeyed, they sinne

  • HHMI ~ Feast of Shavuot ~ Marriage at Mt Sinai ~ Pt 1 ~ A Destiny Mate

    14/11/2017 Duración: 25min

There was a marriage at Mt Sinai. The 10 Commandments that Moses brought down from the mountain was the “ketubah”. The wedding proposal was made to the house of Jacob: And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel. Exodus 19:3 Here is the wedding proposal: Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. Exodus 19:5 But the people were unfaithful and they worshipped the golden calf. Yeshua renews the covenant by dying on the tree and He provides a way for people to get a heart transplant: from having a “heart of stone” to a “heart of flesh” as we are told in Jeremiah 31:31-33. In order to understand the marriage between Yeshua and his people, the house of Jacob, we need to learn WHO He made the covenant with and WHY He made the covenant with them. Listen in to learn more! • HHMI ~ Shavuot ~ Yeshua Gives the Torah at Mt Sinai ~ Pt 3 ~ Holy One, King, Redeemer and Lawgiver

    13/11/2017 Duración: 25min

How do we know that it was Yeshua who gave us the Torah at Mt Sinai? In this teaching we will look at numerous “proof texts” that show us that it was, in fact, Yeshua who gave us the Torah at Mt. Sinai. And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. Deut 33: 2-3 Yeshua is the Holy one of Israel. He is the King of Israel. He is the redeemer of Israel. He is the savior of Israel. And, He is our lawgiver, our “Torah giver”. The one who comes from Mt Sinai, that is Yeshua, not only is he coming with ten thousands of saints, not only are they sitting at His feet to receive His words/His Torah, but it also mentions that the Torah came from the “right hand” of Yahweh. Yeshua IS the right hand of Yahweh, and He now sits at the right hand of t
