  • HHMI ~ Shavuot ~ Yeshua Gives the Torah at Mt Sinai ~ Pt 2 ~ The Church was Born at Mt Sinai

    13/11/2017 Duración: 25min

A common misunderstanding is that it was the Jews who received the Torah at Mt Sinai. Who was there at Mt Sinai to receive the marriage proposal and the covenant? And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; e have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine. Ex. 19:3-5 It was the house of Jacob. That includes ALL 12 tribes. It includes the Jewish and the non Jewish part of the nation of Israel. We traditionally think of church as “New Testament”. When was the church actually born? Many think it was in Acts 2 with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit: This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the Mount Sinai, and with our fathers:

  • HHMI ~ Shavuot ~ Yeshua Gives the Torah at Mt Sinai ~ Pt 1 ~ Israel, Torah, and The Messiah are ONE

    13/11/2017 Duración: 25min

The primary lesson we will learn from this study: Yeshua gave the Torah at Mt Sinai. In order to understand that this is so, there is another key Torah principle that we need to understand: that the people, Israel, the Torah and the Messiah are all ONE. You cannot separate Israel from Torah or Torah from Messiah or Messiah from Israel. They are all connected to each other. In this lesson we will look into the scriptures to see how this is so. In this lesson, Eddie breaks down the first word in Genesis 1:1, breisheet, and shows how this word, in Hebrew, reveals to us that the Father built a house for his son, the firstborn, to dwell in, and invites Israel, his people to dwell there also, based upon a covenant relationship with Yahweh, and the covenant is the Torah. A common misconception is that it was the Jews who came into covenant with the God of Israel at Mt Sinai. This is not so: And Moses went up unto God, and the LORD called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of J

  • HHMI ~ Themes of Shavuot ~ Pt 3 ~ A Wedding Proposal and Betrothal

    13/11/2017 Duración: 25min

One of the themes of Shavuot is that it is associated with a wedding proposal and betrothal. Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown. Jeremiah 2:2 Who was the wedding proposal given to? What were the terms and conditions of this proposal? We will explore these questions. Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. You shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD. And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.Leviticus 23: 16-17 What is the deeper spiritual meaning of the two baked loaves that are offered

  • HHMI ~ Themes of Shavuot ~ Pt 2 ~ Spiritual Journey of the Omer

    13/11/2017 Duración: 25min

A sheaf can represent a person or a group of people (Gen. 37: 5,7). The journey of leaving Egypt (a type of the world) consists of a time of preparation, which is the counting of the omer, for the purpose of meeting with the God of Israel at the mountain, where we are to serve Him. The meeting with the God of Israel happens on Shavuot or Pentecost. It is a picture of a spiritual journey. The sheaves of barley (the omer) went through a process in order to be made into a set apart offering. We look at how the barley grain or omer is processed. The barley was reaped in the vicinity of Jerusalem with a scythe. The grain was then brought to the Temple courtyard where it was threshed and beaten. Next, it was inserted into a tube to be parched by fire. After that it was spread out on the courtyard floor to be dried in the wind. Then, the omer was milled, and ground up into fine flour. After that, the omer was brought to a sieve where it was sifted 13 times. There are rich and deep spiritual insights in looki

  • HHMI ~ Themes of Shavuot ~ Pt 1 ~ Counting the Omer

    13/11/2017 Duración: 25min

And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD. Leviticus 23:15-16 Shavuot is 50 days following the Festival of Firstfruits. It is also known as Pentecost. The Hebrew word and meaning for “sheaf” in the verse above is “omer”. Passover concludes with Shavuot, and the 49 day counting of the omer is what connects these two feasts. After you complete the counting of the omer to the 49th day, the next day is the celebration of Shavuot/Pentecost. What does the counting of the omer represent to us spiritually as believers in Yeshua the Messiah? Counting the omer represents growing in spiritual maturity. That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in w

  • HHMI ~ Feast of First Fruits ~ Spiritual Application ~ Pt 3 ~ Yeshua, Firstborn, Priest, and King

    10/11/2017 Duración: 25min

The Messiah is the firstfruit and firstborn of all creation. For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: and he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Colossians 1: 16-18 Yeshua is not only the firstborn of all creation, he is also our High Priest. Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession. For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. Hebrews 4: 14-15 Not only is Yeshua the firstborn of all creation, not only is He the High Priest, but He is also the King of Israel. On the next day

  • HHMI ~ Feast of First Fruits ~ Spiritual Application ~ Pt 2 ~ Role of Firstborn, King, & Priest

    10/11/2017 Duración: 25min

Adam was a firstborn and also functioned as high priest. Before the Levites took the office of high priest, it was the firstborn that offered sacrifices. Adam passed the birthright/High priest role to Shem. Shem died and passed on the firstborn/king/priest role to Abraham. Abraham died and passed on the firstborn/priest role to Isaac. Isaac died and passed on the firstborn/king/priest role to Jacob. Jacob has the firstborn/birthright and priestly role and the blessing that comes with it. Rabbinical writings say that Jacob keenly desired the role for a godly purpose, whereas Esau did not value the firstborn birthright and priestly role. God approved of it, and calls Jacob “my son”, and conferred upon him firstborn status. Exodus 4: 22 states: And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: Jacob possessed the position of king, priest, and firstborn. Had Reuben not disgraced himself with his conduct with Bilhah, as the firstborn, Reuben would have assumed the role

  • HHMI ~ Feast of FirstFruits ~ Spiritual Application ~ Pt 1 ~ Declaration of Thanks

    10/11/2017 Duración: 25min

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the land which I give unto you, and shall reap the harvest thereof, then ye shall bring a sheaf of the firstfruits of your harvest unto the priest: And he shall wave the sheaf before the LORD, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it. Leviticus 23: 10-11 The Feast of Firstfruits is the day after the Sabbath during the Feast of Unleavened bread. In other words, DURING the Feast of Unleavened bread, when you get to the Sabbath day, the NEXT day is the Feast of Firstfruits. When the children of Israel first came into the promised land, they were told to give a Firstfruit offering for inheriting the land of Israel. It is commanded in Torah that an offering of thanks be given when offering Firstfruits, for dwelling in and inheriting the land of Israel. A declaration of thanks is made by the person when offering the Firstfruits offering: And you shall speak and say before Yahweh your Elohim, A Syri

  • HHMI ~ Spiritual Application of Unleavened Bread ~ Pt 3 ~ Keeping the Feast in Sincerity & in Truth

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

*The Feast of Unleavened bread is to be kept for 7 days. *Unleavened bread was used for consecration *Part of our personal consecration to the Lord is “not sinning”. We are to pursue holiness. *Unleavened bread was used for peace offerings. * Unleavened bread was used for the Nazarite consecration. * Eating unleavened bread is associated with leaving Egypt. *Unleavened bread was mixed with oil for different offerings. And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD. If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried. Leviticus 7: 11-12 Once again, we see unleavened bread mixed with oil. This reveals to us a spiritual principle and application: The anointing comes when we separate, consecrate and sanctify ourselves unto the God of Israel. We are to keep the Feast of Unleavened bread in sincerity and in

  • HHMI ~ Spiritual Application of Unleavened Bread ~ Pt 2 ~ Living an "Unleavened Bread" Lifestyle

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

The spiritual message of eating the Passover lamb is this: believe the gospel, believe that Yeshua is Messiah, the true bread of life. And then, once you have eaten the lamb, you eat the unleavened bread, which means, “don’t sin, don’t live a sinful life, pursue a holy life.” Eating unleavened bread is an eternal command. Write Exodus 12: 18-19: In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at even, ye shall eat unleavened bread, until the one and twentieth day of the month at even. Seven days shall there be no leaven found in your houses: for whosoever eats that which is leavened, even that soul shall be cut off from the congregation of Israel, whether he be a stranger, or born in the land. Unleavened bread, in Hebrew, is “matzah”. Matzah is a spiritual picture of Yeshua the Messiah. It has no leaven, no sin. Yeshua is without sin. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 The matzah is a spiritual picture o

  • HHMI ~ Spiritual Application of Unleavenened Bread ~ Pt 1 ~ Matzah is a Picture of Yeshua

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

Unleavened Bread is a seven day festival that is linked with Passover. Passover is celebrated on the 14th day of the first month (month of Aviv or Nisan). It is immediately followed by the Feast of Unleavened Bread which goes from the 15th day to the 21st day of the first month. During these seven days, we are to eat unleavened bread (also known as “matzah”). The first and the seventh days of this feast are “Sabbaths”. They are high holy days. And on the fifteenth day of the same month is the feast of unleavened bread unto the LORD: seven days ye must eat unleavened bread. In the first day ye shall have an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. But ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD seven days: in the seventh day is an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein. Leviticus 23:6-8 Eating unleavened bread represents being without sin. Unleavened bread in Hebrew is matzah. This teaching will explain how matzah is a picture of Yeshua and how unleavened bread repres

  • HHMI ~ Messianic Passover Seder ~ Pt 3 ~ The 15 Steps in a Passover Seder

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

There are 15 steps to the Passover Seder dinner. As you go through each of these steps you are to see yourself as though you are climbing a spiritual ladder, ascending into the throne room of the God of Israel. Step 5 is the Maggid (telling the story) The Maggid is the telling of the Exodus narrative. It’s now that the youngest child at the table asks the four questions (every haggadah lists them). The four questions include: *On other nights, we eat leavened bread, so why, on this night, do we eat only unleavened bread? *On other nights, we can eat any kind of vegetable, so why, on this night, do we eat only maror (bitter herbs)? *On other nights, we are not required to dip even once, so why, on this night, do we dip twice? *On other nights, we eat sitting or reclining, so why, on this night, do we only recline? It is the answer to these questions that the Passover events and story are told to the rest of the family. Next begins the telling of the Passover events and it starts with an explanation th

  • HHMI ~ Messianic Passover Seder ~ Pt 2 ~ The Seder Plate and Order of Service

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

One of the items on the Passover Seder plate is a shank bone. It represents the Passover lamb that was sacrificed. Yeshua is the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. We also have matza on our Seder plate. Leaven represents sin. Matza is unleavened bread. Matza is a picture of Yeshua who is without sin. The matza is pierced. Yeshua was pierced for our transgressions. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have enclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. Psalm 22:16 The matza is striped. Yeshua was stricken and scourged with stripes on his back: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5 Another item on the Seder plate is maror or bitter herbs along with horse radish. Horse radish reminds us of the bitterness of bondage that the Hebrews experienced as slaves in Egypt. It also represents us of the bitterness of bondage to sin. The next item on a S

  • HHMI ~ Messianic Passover Seder ~ Pt 1 ~ Seeing Yeshua in Passover Seder

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

The Passover is known as the Festival of our Freedom. The historical Egyptian redemption is a prophecy and it is a PARABLE about the end of days. There is a parallel. The historical Egyptian redemption is a prophetic template pointing us to another future redemption that is to come. According to the days of thy coming out of the land of Egypt will I shew unto him marvellous things. The nations shall see and be confounded at all their might: they shall lay their hand upon their mouth, their ears shall be deaf. Micah 7:15-16 The Passover teaches us about Yeshua our Messiah. Yeshua is the Passover lamb who takes away the sins of the world. The Passover blood of Yeshua redeems us from sin. There is a command that there is to be an explanation of the Passover during the Memorial service. This is known as the “Passover Seder”. And it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, What mean ye by this service? That ye shall say, It is the sacrifice of the LORD'S passover, who passed over the hous

  • HHMI ~ The Passover in John 6 ~ Pt 3 ~ The Lesser Moses and the Greater Moses

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

The Jewish rabbis teach that the Messiah is likened unto a “Greater Moses”. Messiah will do even greater things than what Moses did. Historically, Moses showed dominion over the sea. And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. Exodus 14:21 The sea is the dominion of Pharoah. Moses had dominion over the sea= domain of Pharoah. The horse and the rider were cast into the sea! Yeshua has dominion over the sea = domain of Pharoah. Son of man, set thy face against Pharaoh king of Egypt, and prophesy against him, and against all Egypt: peak, and say, Thus says the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lies in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself. Ezekiel 29:2-3 Historically, the God of Israel sent manna to feed the children of Israel in the wilderness. This was a type, a sha

  • HHMI ~ The Passover in John 6 ~ Pt 2 ~ Regathering the Remnant of Israel

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

The timing for the teaching that Yeshua gave in John 6 is near the time of Passover. The setting is upon a mountain. Torah is taught from a mountain. The multitudes are gathered there to hear Yeshua teach the Torah. “Multitudes” is code for the exiles of Israel, particularly the Northern kingdom, who became scattered, first to Assyria, and then to the nations of the world. They are sick and diseased because they didn’t follow the Torah. The penalty for not following Torah was exile to the nations. What follows next is the miracle feeding of 5,000 with 5 loaves and 2 fishes. What is the meaning of the five barley loaves? They represent the five books of the Torah. At the deeper level, Yeshua is going to “feed” the exiles of Israel the Torah. What is the meaning of the two fish? They represent the two houses of Israel, Judah and Ephraim, Northern and Southern kingdom. After the 5,000 are fed the disciples are told: When they were filled, he said unto his disciples, Gather up the fragments that remain, t

  • HHMI ~ Passover ~ Spiritual Applications ~ Pt 6 ~ A Picture of Redemption Forever Remembered

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S Passover. Exodus 12: 11 The Passover lamb is to be eaten with our loins girded. What is the spiritual meaning and application of this? Our loins are to be girded with truth. Therefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; Ephesians 6:13-14 The Passover lamb is to be eaten with your shoes on your feet. What is the spiritual meaning and application of this? The shoes on our feet represents messengers who preach, who proclaim the good news of the gospel. How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that brings good tidings, that publishes peace; that brings good tidings of good, that publishes salvation; that says unto Zion, Thy God reigns! • HHMI ~ Passover ~ Spiritual Applications ~ Pt 5 ~ Walking in Torah

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

In Exodus 12:8-9, we are told that the legs of the lamb must be eaten. What is this a spiritual picture of? The legs represent our walk with Yeshua… AND it represents our walk in the Torah. As you therefore have received Yeshua HaMashiach, so walk in Him. Colossians 2:6 Walking in Torah is walking in the truth. Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy Torah is the truth. Psalm 119:142 Walking in Torah is walking in the light. O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD. Isaiah 2:5 Walking in Torah is walking in Yeshua’s love. And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. 2 John 1:6 Walking in Torah is walking in the Holy Spirit (Ruach HaKodes). A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause

    09/11/2017 Duración: 25min

In Exodus 12:8, we are told to eat the lamb with bitter herbs. What is this spiritually communicating to us? Bitterness represents our disobedience to God. Your own wickedness will correct you, And your backslidings will rebuke you. Know therefore and see that it is an evil and bitter thing That you have forsaken the LORD your God, And the fear of Me is not in you,” Says the Lord GOD of hosts. Jeremiah 2:19 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur. Bitterness also represents hardships, trials and testing. The Hebrews came through the Red sea, and then afterwards could find no water. Then they came to the bitter waters of Marah. They were being tested. Yeshua drinks from a bitter cup at Gethsemane. Then they came to a place which was named Gethsemane; and He said to His disciples, “Sit here while I pray.” Mark 14:32 The word Gethsemane, in Greek means "an oil press”. Yeshua was being asked to drink from the bitter cup set before him. He did not want to d
