HHMI ~ Spiritual Applications of Sabbath ~ Pt 6 ~ Yeshua Heals on Sabbath ~ Prophetic Significance
05/12/2017 Duración: 25minIn a traditional messianic Sabbath service, the Torah scroll has been brought out of the ark, and the blessings are spoken before and after the reading of the Torah portion, the HafTorah portion and the Brit Hadashah portion. After the reading of the scriptures, the Aleinu prayer is spoken. After the scripture readings comes the Aleinu prayer. The service concludes with the Aaronic blessing: The LORD bless you and keep you; The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.” ’ Numbers 6:24-26 Yahweh HID his face from the exiles of Israel because they did not hearken to His voice, or keep His covenant or follow His Torah. For Yahweh’s face to shine upon you, this is a blessing. This means you have intimate relationship with Him. It means you are face to face with Him. It means you have returned to following Yeshua and His Torah! In this session we also look at this question: What is the prophetic significance and meaning of why Ye

HHMI ~ Spiritual Applications of Sabbath ~ Pt 5 ~ How Did the Church Drift into Sunday Worship?
05/12/2017 Duración: 25minThe Roman Catholic church acknowledges that they changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday. The early church met on Sunday according to its own authority and NOT on any scriptural basis or authority to do so. Under the leadership of Martin Luther, the Protestant church kept this Catholic tradition and continues to meet on Sunday to this day. Is there any biblical justification or authority to suggest that after Yeshua died on the tree, that the Sabbath was changed from Saturday to Sunday? There are three scriptures that mainstream Christianity may use to explain that Sabbath has been changed to Sunday. These scriptures include: *John 20:18-19 *Acts 20:7 *1 Cor 16:2 In these scriptures, the KJV translation states: “on the first day of the week”. When you look at the Greek text for “day of the week”, it is translated “sabbaton”, which is Sabbath. These verses have been MISTRANSLATED. If you look at the Greek text, it doesn’t say Sunday, it is actually Saturday. How is Sabbath celebrated? In this teachi

HHMI ~ Spiritual Applications of Sabbath ~ Pt 4 ~ Yeshua & First Century Believers Kept the Sabbath
05/12/2017 Duración: 25minThe Sabbath is a Festival of the God of Israel. Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts. Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. Leviticus 23:2-3 The Sabbath is a “moed”, and it means: an appointed time and place. It is an appointed time of Yahweh. Yeshua kept the Sabbath. "And he (Yeshua) taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read. Luke 4: 15-16 The early believers of the first century kept the Sabbath. This was Paul’s primary platform for preaching the gospel: Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica, where was a synagogue of the Jews: And Pau

HHMI ~ Biblical Themes of the Sabbath ~ Pt 1 ~ Day of Rest ~ Seventh Day of Creation
04/12/2017 Duración: 25minIn this session, these topics/themes are covered: Themes of the Sabbath: *The Sabbath is a festival of Yahweh *The Sabbath teaches us about our rest in Yeshua the Messiah *Yahweh promises abundant blessings for those who celebrate the Sabbath *Non-Jews may celebrate the Sabbath *The Sabbath is a day of rest and no work should be done *We are permitted to do good on the Sabbath *The Sabbath is the 7th day of creation *The Sabbath is the Day of the Lord *The Sabbath foreshadows the Messianic Era *The Day of the Lord begins the Messianic Era We see from the scripture above that keeping the Sabbath is one of the ten commandments. Exodus 31: 13-17 tells us that keeping the Sabbath is a sign of the eternal and perpetual covenant between us and God and that the children of Israel are to keep the Sabbath throughout all generations. Keeping the Sabbath is likened to wearing our wedding ring to show that we are betrothed to Messiah Yeshua, our bridegroom. For more Eddie Chumney teachings and beautiful worship music,

HHMI ~ Yeshua's Life and Ministry ~ Pt 3 ~ Yeshua Lived the Torah and Taught the Torah
30/11/2017 Duración: 25minYeshua is our rabbi, our teacher. Yeshua is a Torah observant Jew. He is our teacher of righteousness. Yeshua teaches us the Torah. He taught this in both his words and in his deeds. And what nation is there so great, that hath statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day? Deut 4:8 And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day. nd it shall be our righteousness, if we observe to do all these commandments before the LORD our God, as he hath commanded us. Deuteronomy 6: 24-25 In being a Rabbi, Yeshua had 12 close students, the 12 disciples and He taught them Torah. The Torah is truth. The Holy Spirit is given to us to guide us into truth. The Holy Spirit, also called the “Spirit of Truth” will teach us Torah. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that sha

HHMI ~ Yeshua's Life and Ministry ~ Pt 2 ~ Yeshua a Faithful Son over the House of Israel
30/11/2017 Duración: 25minIn this session, we learn more about the life of Messiah Yeshua. His parents followed the Torah and had him circumcised on the 8th day according to Torah instructions (Leviticus 12). He was born in Bethlehem and Bethlehem means “house of bread”. Yeshua is the “bread of life”, Torah is our living bread and Yeshua is the living Torah and the living bread. Yeshua was found at the age of 12 at the temple dialoguing with the rabbis about Torah: And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions. And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers. Luke 2:46-47 By profession, Yeshua was a carpenter. Carpenters build houses. This was prophetic of what Yeshua is going to do spiritually: build up the house of Israel. He was a faithful firstborn so over his own house. Likewise we have a calling and a task to be called a faithful firstborn son over the house of the God of Israel. Yeshua begin

HHMI ~ Yeshua's Life and Ministry ~ Pt 1 ~ Yeshua our Salvation
30/11/2017 Duración: 25minIn this teaching series we want to better understand the Jewishness of the Messiah Yeshua. Yeshua was born as a Jew, He lived as a Jew, and He died as a Jew. When He returns, He will be teaching Torah to all the nations from Jerusalem. Yeshua was a rabbi. He kept the biblical Sabbath, and the biblical festivals. He taught the Torah to us in parables. When we study the Hebrew roots of our faith, we must keep everything centered on Yeshua our Messiah. Jesus Hebrew name is Yeshua, and in Hebrew, Yeshua means SALVATION: And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21 In this session, we will be looking at the Hebrew meanings for the names of the patriarchs, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Names carry with them purpose, calling, and destiny. Isaac’s name means “laughter”. Sarah was beyond her child bearing years, but miraculously, she gave birth to Isaac. Similarly, when the biblical ZION nation is birthed, it will happen miraculously,

HHMI ~ New Moon Teaching ~ Pt 3 ~ A Spiritual Picture of Rebirth and Restoration
30/11/2017 Duración: 25minThe nation of Israel is likened to the moon and Israel is likened to the Davidic kingdom. Just as the moon goes through various phases of decline and renewal each month so does the nation of Israel. I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me. It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah. Psalm 89: 20, 37-38 Seed of David = as the Moon The moon is not going anywhere. Neither is the Davidic kingdom. It will endure forever. The Davidic kingdom arose, fell, and is prophesied to be restored through Yeshua the Messiah. The rise and fall of the Davidic kingdom is likened to the moon. Just as the moon is “reborn” after a period of decline into total disappearance, so too, Israel’s decline will end and it will, once again, blaze to fullness. The rebirth of the moon is likened to us being 'born again' in Messiah. The rebirth of the moon is likened to the restoration of the tab

HHMI ~ New Moon Teaching ~ Pt 2 ~ The New Moon Determines When to Celebrate and Keep the Feasts
30/11/2017 Duración: 25minDid Yeshua teach that you should follow the Pharisees, which means follow rabbinic Judaism? (See Matthew 23: 1-3). In the Shemtov Hebrew book of Matthew, the rendering of Matthew 23:3 is as follows: Yeshua is saying, “You are to do what Moses said, NOT according to Pharisaic interpretations, or the Oral law (Talmud) on how to follow the Torah.” In the first century there was a Sanhedrin, and they made determination and announcement of the New Moon and to sanctify it. Originally, when the court would sanctify the New Moon, they would send messengers to light bonfires on the mountain tops to notify the people in distant places. The sun and the moon are given for signs and seasons. (Gen. 1: 14, 16) The moon was given to help us to determine when to celebrate and keep the Feasts. The New Moon determines the date of the annual Feasts. How did we get the exile calendar? Should we follow the exile calendar (the Hillel calendar)? We will look into this. In the Messianic Era, the “exile calendar” will no longer

HHMI ~ New Moon Teaching ~ Pt 1 ~ New Moon = New Month
30/11/2017 Duración: 25minThis is a teaching series on the New Moon, which in Hebrew, is “Rosh Chodesh”. There are two major spiritual themes associated with the New moon. Celebrating the New Moon teaches us about rebirth and restoration. Why do we celebrate the New Moon and what is the understanding behind it? Rosh Chodesh, or, the celebration of the New Moon, was the first commandment given to Israel when they were redeemed out of Egypt. And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying, This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you. Exodus 12:1-2 The biblical calendar is a lunar based calendar. How can we understand that? We will delve into this. The biblical months are lunar, but the biblical year is solar. In this session, we will also look at the history and the role of the Sanhedrin in judging matters. HHMI ~ Sukkot Themes ~ Pt 6 ~ Sukkot and the Defeat of Gog/Magog
29/11/2017 Duración: 25minSukkot is known as the “Festival of Light”. We can see Yeshua in this feast as he says this: “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12 Sukkot is associated with the Gog/Magog war. In the Jewish siddur/prayer book for Sukkot, the traditional reading during Sukkot is Ezekiel 38: 18—Ez 39:16. What is associated with the defeat of Gog/Magog? *At the conclusion of the battle of Gog/Magog we see the end of the exile of Jacob. *Yahweh’s name is sanctified and glorified in the sight of many nations *It is the end of the exile for the house of Jacob *Yahweh regathers his people *The outpouring of His spirit happens *Yahweh’s face is no longer hidden from them. When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations; hen shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led in

HHMI ~ Sukkot Themes ~ Pt 5 ~ Feast of All Nations
29/11/2017 Duración: 25minAt Sukkot, there were a total of 70 bullocks sacrificed (Numbers 29:12-20). This was to represent the 70 nations of the world. On the first day, 13 bullocks On the second day, 12 bullocks On the third day, 11 bullocks On the fourth day, 10 bullocks On the fifth day, 9 bullocks On the sixth day, 8 bullocks On the seventh day, 7 bullocks It all adds up to 70, which represents the 70 nations of the world. Why 70? There were 70 souls that went down to Egypt in Jacob’s family (Exodus 1:5). There were 70 nations that formed after the flood of Noah (Genesis 10:32). During the millennial reign of Yeshua, all nations will be required to send a representative to Jerusalem to keep Sukkot. And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the

HHMI ~ Sukkot Themes ~ Pt 4 ~ Sukkot and the Cloud of Glory
29/11/2017 Duración: 25minIn this teaching series, we will look at the major themes of Sukkot. These themes include: *It is known as the “Season of our Joy” *It is known as the “Feast of Ingathering *It is known as the “Festival of the Nations” *It is known as the “Feast of Dedication” *It is known as the “Festival of Lights” Sukkot is a 7 day festival: Also in the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when ye have gathered in the fruit of the land, ye shall keep a feast unto the LORD seven days: on the first day shall be a sabbath, and on the eighth day shall be a sabbath. And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees, branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the LORD your God seven days. Leviticus 23:39-40 Sukkot is associated with the cloud of glory: And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night. Exodus 13:21 And the LORD will creat

HHMI ~ Sukkot ~ Season of our Joy ~ Pt 3 ~ Raising up the Tabernacle of David
29/11/2017 Duración: 25minSukkot is about the completing of a task, the finishing of a journey. What is the task? To gather the exiles that have been scattered. The task is the restoring of the tabernacle of David. What will that look like? The regathering of the exiles of Israel and the reuniting of Northern and Southern kingdom to make ONE NEW MAN, one united kingdom of the WHOLE house of Israel, comprised of all 12 tribes. In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old. Amos 9:11 What is the “fallen tabernacle of David” referring to? The Tabernacle/tent of David is a Hebrew idiomatic express for the kingdom of David. This was the last time that the nation/kingdom of Israel was united, under the rulership of King David. Then we had the kingdom split, and rebellion was led by Jeroboam: So when all Israel saw that the king hearkened not unto them, the people answered the king, saying, What portion have w

HHMI ~ Sukkot ~ Season of our Joy ~ Pt 2 ~ The Glory of the Lord Tabernacles With His People
29/11/2017 Duración: 25minSukkot is associated with the Messianic era after Yeshua has returned and is ruling and reigning for a thousand years. All nations of the world will be required to keep the Feast of Tabernacles during the Messianic era. (Zechariah 14: 16-19) Here is the spiritual journey in a nutshell: This journey is represented by Passover, putting the blood of the lamb upon the doorposts, then Pentecost/Shavuot, which is associated with the giving of the Torah at Mt Sinai, and then going into the Promised land, Zion, which is associated with the Feast of Tabernacles/Sukkot, thus finishing the journey. In keeping Passover, we put the blood of the lamb on the doorposts of our heart. This is salvation. Then, in coming to Mt Sinai, Yeshua said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.” If we do this, then we enter into a marriage covenant with Him and we will get to DWELL WITH/SUKKOT WITH Yeshua at Mt Zion/Jerusalem when he returns to rule/reign during the Messianic era. *Sukkot is associated with the cloud of glory being

HHMI ~ Sukkot ~ Season of our Joy ~ Pt 1 ~ Finishing the Spiritual Journey
29/11/2017 Duración: 25minWe have been on a spiritual journey. It began with Passover, with our leaving the world, the world system, and coming out of the bondage of slavery to sin. We began a journey of following Yeshua and His Torah. Passover is a picture of salvation. We are saved by faith through grace (Eph 2:8-9). In His mercy and lovingkindness, Yeshua took all the penalty of sin upon Himself in dying on the tree. Similarly, Yeshua, in his mercy, remembered the covenant He made with Abraham, and raised up Moses to bring the children of Israel OUT of Egypt, OUT of their bondage and slavery. When they put the blood of the lamb on their doorposts, they were demonstrating FAITH and TRUST that the God of Israel would deliver them. This is a picture of salvation, thus BEGINNING the spiritual journey. Next, we come to Mt Sinai, at the time of Shavuot. It was there that Yeshua makes a wedding proposal to them (and us). Here, He tells us that IF we will hear His voice, and KEEP His commands, THEN I will make you to be a peculiar treas

HHMI ~ Yom Kippur ~ Priestly Service ~ Pt 6 ~ The Sounding of the Great Trump
28/11/2017 Duración: 25minIn this session, we will look at the Neilah Service, the last part of a Yom Kippur service and the deeper spiritual meaning of the "sounding of the Great Shofar". The rabbis teach that Yom Kippur is the climax of the ten days of awe. They teach that the gates of heaven are open during the ten days to receive the prayers of repentance. Then, during the “neilah” service, the gates of heaven are closed. We will now study this neilah service to learn the deeper spiritual meaning and application. The heavenly judgment that was given during Yom Teruah is now sealed during the Neilah service of Yom Kippur. Yom Kippur is associated with the sounding of the “Great Shofar”. As part of the Neilah service there is the sounding of the shofar. This is known at the “Great Shofar”. The rabbis teach that the hearing of the shofar inspires within us a yearning for the shofar that will herald our ultimate freedom. The great shofar announces the coming of the Messiah. The sounding of the great shofar is associated with

HHMI ~ Yom Kippur ~ Priestly Service ~ Pt 5 ~ The Precious Blood of Yeshua
28/11/2017 Duración: 25minThe blood of Yeshua takes away our sins. The blood of the Messiah reconciles us to the Father. The blood of Messiah gives us eternal redemption. The blood is what brings remission of sin. Sin is purged with the shedding of blood. For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. Matthew 26:28 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7 When we acknowledge our sin, and confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Yeshua, our Great High Priest, in the order of Melchezedik became the sin sacrifice on the tree so that we could be redeemed and be able to draw near to the Father. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18 What can wash away my sins? Nothing but the blood of Yeshua. What can
