Happy Chinese New Year!   Last night was Chinese New Year's eve as well as the Superbowl, so I got to spend time with my family, eat my mom's awesome food, as well as watch the biggest game of the year for Broncos fans, and not so much for the state of Carolina. But nowadays it's so rare to get a third of America's eyeballs glued to the TV for one event, that advertisers are now paying I think $5mm for 30 seconds of ads. Holy moly.   For a fraction of $5 million dollars, you can support the Discovering Paleo documentary Kickstarter Campaign. The first week of the campaign was great, but we are still a long ways away from achieving our goal, so check it out on Kickstarter and choose a fun reward that suits you best.    My guest today is Ray Audette, who published the first Paleo book back in 1995 called NeanderThin. • Ep. 16 - Jocylyn Hayes: AIP Helped Her When No One Else Could

    25/01/2016 Duración: 37min

I spent most of my teens and early twenties feeling unwell. I think my problems started when I was 14, when I developed bad diarrhea after many meals and I passed out for no apparent reason. Autoimmune conditions run in my family, my father has PSC and his sister, Lupus, but my tests kept coming back negative for those. So I went undiagnosed. As I got older things got worse. I got really bad skin, severe anemia, bloating issues, I would randomly feel very sick after eating certain things (namely pasta) and actually throw up after others (porridge). The doctors were so concerned about my iron levels that they put me on pills with 8 times the RDA. It was horrible and I actually decided being anaemic was more pleasant than the side effects of the iron pills. Surely fainting is better than being so constipated you bleed? I first came across the paleo diet in 2012. I was in my early twenties and was fed up of waiting to "grow out" of my skin issues. I came across Devin Moors' book Clear Skin Forever. In it, he was

    28/12/2015 Duración: 54min

Marcos is originally from Venezuela and moved to the US about 8 years ago to go to school with a solid BMI of 33 and a myriad of seemingly minor health issues. He’s always had eye for businesses so when he stumbled upon the Paleo Diet around 2011 his first thought was “Alright, let’s see what this new fad is all about, and how do they plan to take my money”. But after searching for a couple of hours he found out 2 things: 1) information about the Paleo diet was all over the place 2) The only thing “they” were trying to sell were books. So still skeptical he bought the Paleo Solution by Robb Wolf, expecting some real hard pitches on products, supplements, services, seminars and some other money making tactics. Instead, he received a huge dose of history and biochemistry that went way over his head (the bio chemistry part!) but one thing was clear….it made sense and it was simple. After devouring the book there was one thing left to do, and that was to run the ex
