  • Ep 98: How NOT to psyche yourself up for a marathon

    15/10/2019 Duración: 11min

This past Saturday, I completed my 4th marathon! It was my first trail marathon, and I was kinda a baby about the whole thing! It was mentally and physically hard. Although the course was very flat and clear, the 37 degree weather and flooding on the course made it hard for me to be super psyched about it. I was very worried the night before because I hate being cold, and I hate having wet feet! I still knew I was going to complete the race. I knew it wasn't going to be pretty, but my 4 months of training were not going to be for nothing. I'll be back later this week with a (more positive) recap of the race. When we do challenging things, we get stronger. Even really imperfect attempts at challenging things. xo, Jaclyn     See photos of the race: https://www.instagram.com/p/B3iWh43nhl5/ Connect with Jaclyn: https://www.instagram.com/jaclyn.ricchio.stover/ Join the Imperfect Eating FB Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/imperfecteating/

  • Ep 94: How to eat without tracking WW points, macros, or calories

    24/08/2019 Duración: 12min

When you are 70 years old, do you want to be tracking food? A lot of women will tell me, "I just need to do something extreme and then I will figure out how to eat." What happens is you're not able to stick with the extreme, and the pendulum swings to the other extreme.   Grab a journal for today's episode. We do a lot of mindset work. Because it's about the food and also not really about the food... • Ep 93: How to stop hating fitness and find something you LOVE with Rowing Coach Sarah Fuhrmann

    13/08/2019 Duración: 47min

Do you still dread your workouts? Are you only using running as a way to make your body smaller? So... yeah, it would make sense why you hate workouts... It's punishment...   Sarah and I chat about -how to actually LOVE fitness -the mistakes she made in her 20s and what she's doing now instead (I listen up when people give advice on how to enjoy life!!) -how the internet theoretically connects us but it can feel REALLY FREAKING LONELY -how to find a community IN PERSON with fitness -how to use ROWING as cross-training for your running training plan -overcoming self doubt with the sentence, "I think I can figure this out." -why it's important to move your body at any age!   Sarah is the head rower at @ucanrow2 and she helps women make later life their best life.    Connect with Sarah: https://www.instagram.com/sfuhrmann906/ https://www.instagram.com/ucanrow2/ https://ucanrow2.com/ youtube.com/user/ucanrow2   Rowing for Runners Starter Guide         Join the Imperfect Eating FB Group: https://www.facebook.co

  • Ep 92: How to deal with hating your body

    02/08/2019 Duración: 10min

"Once I get to a size __, then I will like myself." When I ask women if they like their bodies in high school when they were smaller, most will say, "No. I hated myself then too." Cool. So liking ourselves actually has nothing to do with what size our bodies are. Liking ourselves has to do with learning to like ourselves.   Also we'll talk about weight loss and when someone says they can help you target stubborn belly fat or target other parts of your body. F that noise!   Wanna hear EXACTLY what it's like to do 1:1 coaching with Jaclyn before making the investment? • Ep 91: How to become a person who works out consistently

    30/07/2019 Duración: 13min

When we only think of movement as the thing to make our bodies smaller, no wonder we don't want to do it. We are using exercise as punishment. When we start to see movement as something we do to help our day AND WE DO A REALLY SMALL AMOUNT EACH DAY, we start to BECOME A PERSON WHO MOVES. It's part of our identity. No extrinsic motivation or sticker charts needed because it's who you are.   This was a training from the Imperfect Eating FB group. I answer your questions each Friday! Have a question? 19/07/2019 Duración: 41min

We always think we need to go super hardcore to get extreme results, but the extreme actions breed more extreme actions... meaning if you lose 15lbs really fast, you will probably gain those 15lbs really fast again.  The habits are not sustainable.   I chat with fitness competitor, runner, all around bad-ass, and my business coach and mentor, Jill Coleman, about how to get out of this cycle.   Get Jill's Newsletter: http://jillfit.com/ Connect with Jill: https://www.instagram.com/jillfit/     ------------------ Join the FREE Imperfect Eating FB group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/imperfecteating/ Connect with Jaclyn on IG: https://www.instagram.com/jaclyn.ricchio.stover/ FB: https://www.facebook.com/jaclyn.ricchio.stover Apply for 1 on 1 coaching: http://www.imperfecteating.com
